My name is Susan Cottier (Sue). I am an Ofsted registered childminder in the Fell Lane/ Exley Head area of Keighley. I have been married for 25 years and I have one son, aged 20 who is currently studying Maths at university.
I have been childminding for 20 years and I am level 4 qualified.
My aim is to provide a fun, home from home environment, where play, sensory stimulation and other experiences are provided to help all children develop and progress to the best of their ability. I provide toys and activities to suit all ages and which cover all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Children have opportunities to participate in many activities including imaginative play, arts and crafts, outdoor play, songs and rhymes, music, storytime, cooking, gardening, ICT, games and puzzles, plus visits to local toddler groups and parks etc. These help children to learn social skills and develop skills for independence whilst having lots of fun.
I am able to provide full or part-time care along with a wrap around service for children attending Nessfield Primary School and Nursery and Exley Head Preschool.
I am able to deliver the 15 hours free early years education for three and four year olds and for qualifying two year olds.
I am able to accept payment via most childcare voucher schemes. My fees include all meals and activities whilst your child is in my care. My fees do not include nappies or formula milk, which you will need to provide if required.
My experience has grown through the years, beginning with caring for my son and nephews and nieces and then moving onto the 30+ mindees I have had over the years. Most of the children in my care start as babies and remain in my care until the end of primary school (and beyond if required). This experience has been supplemented with ongoing training on a wealth of childcare related subjects.
I have a level 4 qualification in Early Years Practice and I have studied with the Open University, working towards, but not completing a foundation degree in Early Years. Additionally I have a BSc in Applied Biochemistry.

I am also a graduate biochemist.
I routinely offer care between 7.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, plus before and after school on Fridays. Hours outside of this may be accommodated by agreement but unfortunately I am unable to offer weekend or evening care.
I currently only have very limited availability for preschool children aged 0 to 4 years and no spaces for school age children.
