About Me
I have been childminding for over 16
years and can honestly say this is the best job I have ever had. I have been inspected in October 2019 and been graded Outstanding for the second time. It is the most tiring, but the most rewarding. I live at home with my son who is 23 years old.
I have 2 assistants who are registered to work alongside me as back up cover. This is so there is always cover in an emergency. All assistants have been DBS checked and have completed their paediatric first aid course.
I work closely with three other childminders in the Hopwood/ Heywood area.
My Experience
I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I have been doing the job for over 16 years now and love every minute. My grading is currently Outstanding. I have worked with children for a number of years, whether it be in schools, nursery's or children and family centres.
I look after children at the moment which range in age from 6 months to 10 years. I have also worked with children who have needed extra support, whether this be emotional or additional needs.
My Qualifications
I have a NNEB level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education.
I am now an ELLP, Early language lead Practitioner. Which means I know how to develop, support and promote childrens language.
I have completed my Level 3 in DECATCH Disabled childrens access to childcare.
I have taken part in the Rochdale quality award "High 5" for the past 10 years. I have attained the highest level and maintained my grade. I have been awarded the Golden Grin award for supporting children with good Oral hygiene.
I attend training in a regular basis doing at least two courses a month, to keep me up to date with what is a focus in childcare.
My Availability
At present I have one part time Thursday and Friday vacancy arising in September 2024 for a child under school age child.

Emma has had my son since he was 9 months old and they've built such a lovely bond. He enjoys many different experiences whilst in Emma's care such as Moo Music, play centre trips and visits to parks, zoos and museums. I love that he gets such varied, exciting experiences; something you wouldn't get at a Nursery.
Furthermore, Emma feeds the children amazing, healthy food... homemade curries, meat and potato hash, chilli's... just to name a few!
Emma has a really nice outdoor area, where my son enjoys playing on the slide and playing in the tough trays; he loves the outdoors!
Upon pick up, she always tells me about his day and what he's had to eat. She tells me the progress he's been making in certain areas and how she is going to expand his learning further.
When my son leaves Emma to move to pre school, I know both myself and my son will miss Emma dearly.

My two children have been with Emma for before & after school care for over 5 years. My children absolute love going after school and creating amazing friendships and learning new sills in the kitchen. As they get older they also take on more responsibility in the setting. It is a testament to the environment created and nurturing attitude of Emma, that every child is happy and they create close bonds, helping to support each other. I couldn't have wished for a better Childminder and setting for my children.

Emma has looked after my little girl since she 11 months old. My little girl loves going to Emma's and it is great to see how settled and how well cared for she is. Emma plans activities that cater to my little girls interests and needs and it's clear they always have lots of fun. My little girl adores Emma and seeing the relationship they have makes it that bit easier to leave her every day. I really couldnt ask for anyone better. Emma also picks up my little boy from school. He's runs out of school and is always greeted with a warm welcome. Nothing is too much for Emma and she always goes that extra mile for the children in her care and their families.

Emma has been our amazing childminder for the last five years. Initially Emma was recommended to us by a work colleague, this was by far the best recommendation we’ve ever taken.
We have two little girls one who is currently with Emma and the other who has gone off to school. Both of the girls have an amazing bond with Emma, which is only something you can wish for in a childminder.
The children in Emma’s care have the best time with the fun/learning activities that she spends a lot of time planning and creating. Weekly visits to the library, play venues, play groups contribute to the learning and development of the children. All of which is photographed and documented for you when you need that little pick me up.
To complete Emma’s family she now has a lovely little dog called willow. Willow has become like a best friend to my little girl, her confidence and loving nature have shone through and as a result of this we now have our own little dog.
Both of our girls have amazing manners, confidence and the ability to embark on whatever the next chapter throws at them, this wouldn’t have been possible without Emma’s input.

My little boy went to Emma at 6 months old. From day 1 he loved her and as a parent it was so easy going back to work with all the fantastic updates we received. My little man was always taking part in a range of well planned and thoughtful activities. He made so much progress with Emma and enjoyed every second. Thank you for making my work transition and his childcare transition as easy as it could be xxx
