About Me
I have been childminding for over 17
years and can honestly say this is the best job I have ever had. I have been inspected in September 25 and been graded Good. It is the most tiring, but the most rewarding. I live at home with my son who is 25 years old.
I have 2 assistants who are registered to work alongside me as back up cover. This is so there is always cover in an emergency. All assistants have been DBS checked and have completed their paediatric first aid course.
I work closely with 4 other childminders in the Hopwood/ Heywood area.
My Experience
I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I have been doing the job for over 17 years now and love every minute. My grading is currently Good. I have worked with children for a number of years, whether it be in schools, nursery's or children and family centres.
I look after children at the moment which range in age from 6 months to 11 years. I have also worked with children who have needed extra support, whether this be emotional or additional needs.
My Qualifications
I have a NNEB level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education.
I am now an ELLP, Early language lead Practitioner. Which means I know how to develop, support and promote childrens language.
I have completed my Level 3 in DECATCH Disabled childrens access to childcare.
I have taken part in the Rochdale quality award "High 5" for the past 12 years. I have attained the highest level and maintained my grade. I have been awarded the Golden Grin award for supporting children with good Oral hygiene.
I attend training in a regular basis doing at least two courses a month, to keep me up to date with what is a focus in childcare.
My Availability
I have a vacancy for a child under two. Monday to Friday. I could offer a four day place. Please contact me for further details.

When first looking for a childminder I came across Emma's profile, and felt that she is the one. Unfortunately after checking her profile, I realised that she had full capacity already so I continued my search. I wrote to another childminder, who just found someone already, but had a friend who just had got a free space. It turned out to be Emma. It was meant to be ;) Emma looked after my little boy since he was 13 months old. He just finished his adventure after 3.5 years and it was the most perfect time we could have asked for. Emma has provided a safe and loving environment for our son, which has been a key part in his development. She often takes the children to many different places such as the library, park and to different play groups, moo music, zoo, farm, which we get to see with regular picture updates on her Facebook group. She also provides healthy home cooked meals, celebrates with the kids many cultural events, rewards them and even prepares with them the loveliest Mothers and Fathers Day gifts, which I will always cherish. Emma is a natural with children, teaches them good table manners, great hygiene and potty trains the little ones, always informs when there was an accident or shares any worries with us. All kids are treated like her own and I couldn't recommend her enough to anyone looking for childcare! We had an emotional Goodbye and will be forever grateful for taking such good care of our son Ariel. Thank you Emma, we will miss you!!!

Emma has had my son since he was 9 months old and they've built such a lovely bond. He enjoys many different experiences whilst in Emma's care such as Moo Music, play centre trips and visits to parks, zoos and museums. I love that he gets such varied, exciting experiences; something you wouldn't get at a Nursery.
Furthermore, Emma feeds the children amazing, healthy food... homemade curries, meat and potato hash, chilli's... just to name a few!
Emma has a really nice outdoor area, where my son enjoys playing on the slide and playing in the tough trays; he loves the outdoors!
Upon pick up, she always tells me about his day and what he's had to eat. She tells me the progress he's been making in certain areas and how she is going to expand his learning further.
When my son leaves Emma to move to pre school, I know both myself and my son will miss Emma dearly.

My two children have been with Emma for before & after school care for over 5 years. My children absolute love going after school and creating amazing friendships and learning new sills in the kitchen. As they get older they also take on more responsibility in the setting. It is a testament to the environment created and nurturing attitude of Emma, that every child is happy and they create close bonds, helping to support each other. I couldn't have wished for a better Childminder and setting for my children.
