About Me
I am a Specialist teacher in Wilmslow and Holder of the National Award for SENCO, with a particular interest and expertise in the field of Dyslexia, ASD, ADD and ADHD, although equally I teach children without SEN. I am a certified test user for the QB ADHD Test and have a fast-track system for children to be diagnosed with a Consultant Paediatrician or Clinical Psychologist. I work with retained primitive reflexes / first reflexes.

ONLINE PRIMARY Lessons are available - details on request and with alternative fee structuring as either 1:1 or small groups delivered. Small group fees apply, reducing costs for parents. A maximum of 2 children can attend face to face on site, alternatively up to 4 on your premises.

Dedicated to working with all children, I offer support in the 3R's, in addition to screening for dyslexia and administering the Wechsler Wide Range Intelligence Test (WRIT) and the WRAT5 Test (Ability), WIATT-T and TOMA3. These psychometric tests will provide an accurate measure of your child's current ability in maths, reading, spelling and comprehension. All the tests are child-friendly.
+Intensive Intervention Programmes in reading, writing & phonological training (from aged 4 or earlier, if your child is able). This is particularly recommended if there are genetic links to dyslexia or other learning difficulties.
+Handwriting/penmanship (beginners to improvers), grammar skills, composition, comprehension/inference, story-writing.
+Complete mathematical training, which promotes smart, simple techniques, to develop a sound understanding of number, bonds, time, fractions, percentages, angles, units of measure, inverse operations, problem-solving and the language used in maths.
+Specialist multi-sensory training in the 3 R's for pupils with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, autism, Asperger's, working memory and processing difficulties, auditory & visual discrimination difficulties, ADD, ADHD.
Neurodevelopmental Assessment and Therapy available from January 2023 for children with learning difficulties and retained primitive reflexes. Let's make children's lives great!
My Experience
More than formal tutoring, which may often involve ploughing through endless worksheets (and can be counter-productive to learning) I offer finely tuned, personalised lessons, in which the child gains confidence to take charge of their own learning.
I am a highly qualified and experienced, dedicated SENCO & Special Educational Needs, Autism & Dyslexia Teacher. I am licensed to administer Educational Tests and work within a Specialist Private Multi-Disciplinary Team. I have extensive experience in working with pupils with Autism, Speech & Language Delay, ADHD, ADD, Asperger's, Auditory Processing Disorders, , Dyslexia and Dyspraxia and other general learning difficulties.
Children do not have to have SEN for me to work with them - all children can access the same excellent support, including gifted pupils and those preparing for entrance examinations.
I am Primary & Early Years trained and I am specialist in teaching acquisition of phonics - pure sound phonological training, reading, handwriting, numeracy and literacy.
I work regularly with schools, parents, occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, clinical and educational psychologists and am fully conversant and competent in working with detailed reports and recommendations from these professionals.
Children can be released from school to access intensive interventions in English & Maths.

Uniquely qualified in Early Years, Primary and Post 16. Holder of NASENCO and Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing (CCET).
My Availability
7 days a week from 8am to 7pm. Payment is monthly in advance by BACS and all cancellations or missed lessons during term time are charged and payable in full. Your payment secures your regular time-slot.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £50.00 per hour
Due my extensive training, experience, qualifications and expertise, these are Specialist Teacher fees - not general tutoring charges. I only provide a full 'right from the start' approach rather than continuous repetition of classroom printout worksheets. You can talk with any of my clients for validation. More than anything, I am passionate about what I do.
