About Me
My name is Antonella Pastorelli Foot and I am 47 years of age. I am Italian, born in sheffield. I have Italian parents therefore I speak fluent Italian however my first language is English. I live with my husband and 14 year old daughter. I was a registered Childminder for 9 years from 2012-2021 and since the pandemic l took a break to follow my passion to become a chef and trained in patisserie, as I love to cook and bake. I worked as a chef for a few years and love that I have this skill under my belt. I decided to work with children again and chose a forest school nursery as I wanted to learn this type of childcare and realised how much I love working with children i’m gained valuable experience in this nursery to take with me as a self employed childcare practitioner. I would love to work as a nanny and have the opportunity to work with a family to help care for your child using all the skills I have.
I like to keep fit and healthy and love to workout, this helps me keep motivated and energetic which helps do my job and stay young!

My aims as a childcare practitioner is to provide a fun, safe and comfortable environment for children to enjoy and achieve their full potential. I aim to work with you to provide the best possible care for your child. I love to cook and I encourage the children to help me cook which they enjoy. I have always like to encourage healthy food and snacks and encourages your child to choose healthy option. In my care the children will be engaged, positively disciplined, praised and encouraged.
I have contact with other childminders and nannies therefore there is a network of other children that your child would meet every week at toddler groups and events.
I have volunteered at local baby groups as I love to get involved in local activities.
My Experience
I genuinely care about the progress and welfare of each child and I strive to provide the best possible environment for them to achieve and thrive. I have 9 years and 8 months experience of working directly with children and enjoy every minute. My recent experience working in a forest school Nursery was a very positive experience. I have worked as a supply teaching assistant also.
My previous working experience is, I delivered afterschool club activities across the city for Woodthorpe Development Trust. Previous to this I worked for Activity Sheffield, Sheffield City Council for 7 years where I was involved in the administration for the delivery of a wide range of sports, play and physical activity sessions for children & adults across the city.

I am always willing to improve my skills and services therefore I will keep up to date with current good practice.

My Fees
- Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
My hours are between 8am and 5.30pm Tuesdays to Thursdays. If you need hours outside these I am willing to discuss this and see if I can meet your requirements.
I charge £13 per hour
I accept child care vouchers and Free childcare hours

Nell has been my child-minder since my son has been six month old. He is now 3.5 years old and is very sociable, bright and confident which Nell has played a big part in,i couldn't ask for better!.
He has a good varied diet, which again i feel Nell has played a part in achieving due to the wholesome, fresh varied diet she provides for the children ( meals and snacks )
He always enjoys going and i can tell he enjoys all the various activities Nell does with the children in her care, which include daily groups, special outings eg farms, woodland walks, going swimming and seasonal activities
Nell undertakes various other activities with the children eg cooking and crafts.
Nell has fully supported me with helping my son with potty training and using his dummy less which has been brilliant!
My son now attends main stream nursery for two days a week but still goes to Nell's for the rest of the week, Nell was brilliant and very supportive in my sons transition and liaised with nursery and visiting it for herself so they could provide a seamless learning experience for my son.
i work full time and Nell is always flexible when required and in emergency situations which again is very beneficial, Nell always gives ample notice if she is taking a holiday or requires time off and will offer her help and recommendations if childcare is required to cover any of her holidays. Nell always records a daily diary and completes a progress book which includes pictures of activities and developmental stages that my son has achieved.
All in all Nell is great, my son loves her and i know he is happy and settled with Nell, her daughter and husband. i have never had any concerns with the great care that she provides and would highly recommended.

Antonella has been looking after my daughter 4 days a week since my daughter was 10 months old... she’s now 3. I felt no upset for me with leaving her with Nell on my first day back at work from maternity leave as I knew she would be safe and happy. She has loved every day of going to the setting and enjoys the range of activities they do each day. From tha various playgroups to staying at home and painting/baking/playing in the garden she enjoys it all and I’ve enjoyed seeing a happy girl throughout her baby and toddler hood. Now my daughter attends nursery she still goes to Nell’s setting each week and still absolutely loves it. :)

We moved to Sheffield in December 2016 and were lucky to find Antonella from recommendations on a local facebook group to childmind our son who was 11 months at the time. It was a difficult time to settle him in as he was a bit unsettled from moving house and it was also the start of his separation anxiety. Added to that, problems with my husband's work meant he needed to be at Antonella's for 4 days a week instead of the two we had originally planned. Antonella was amazing at getting A (who had never really spent any time away from his mum before) settled and he has really thrived under her care. Antonella provides a range of exciting activities indoor and out every day and all the children under her care (max 3 at a time) get on so well under her supervision. She is also a fantastic cook and just a lovely person who provides a really homely environment. Her daughter is fantastic with the younger kids too and my son adores her. A is always very excited to go there and see his friends and have fun. She is very good at writing a daily report and a more detailed weekly look at his development. I am so happy we found Nell and so is my son!
