About Me
I live on a quiet, family-friendly road with my husband and our two daughters, and we love being part of a calm, welcoming community. I’m very much a family person and truly value the importance of a warm, supportive home environment.
Our home is shared with our two friendly dogs, who are very much part of the family. The children currently in my care love helping to look after them and enjoy the calm, gentle interactions the dogs provide. We also have guinea pigs, and the children help to feed them daily, which teaches responsibility, empathy, and kindness towards animals.
In my spare time, I enjoy countryside walks, exploring nature, and getting creative through crocheting, sewing, and crafting. I practise mindfulness and fit in yoga whenever time allows, helping me stay calm, centred, and positive. I love teaching simple mindfulness techniques to the children I care for, supporting their emotional wellbeing and self-awareness.
Family, creativity, mindfulness, the outdoors, and a love for animals all play a big part in my life, and I bring that same sense of care, calm, and imagination into my childcare setting
My Experience
I have over 25 years of experience working within childcare, supporting children from infancy through school age in a range of settings. I began my career as a Nursery Nurse before progressing to Nursery Deputy Manager, where I gained extensive experience in early years development, safeguarding, and team leadership. I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant and provided 1:1 support for children with Special Educational Needs, ensuring personalised care and inclusive learning. After having my first child 16 years ago, I moved from nursery work into childminding so I could continue supporting young children while raising my own family. As a mother of two, I understand the importance of a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. I am fully first-aid trained and hold an up-to-date enhanced DBS
My Qualifications
I qualified in 2000 with a BTEC National Diploma in Childcare, giving me a strong foundation in child development, early years education, and safeguarding. Over the years, I have gained a wealth of experience through the many roles I’ve held, each helping me deepen my understanding of how children learn, communicate, and grow.
I am fully First Aid trained, and I complete safeguarding training every two years to ensure I remain up to date with the latest guidance. I also regularly keep myself informed about current developments, research, and best practice within the childcare and education sector.
My Availability
Availability
I currently have before and after school spaces available immediately.
From September 2025, I will also have a term-time only space available from 9am–3pm.
Opening Hours
I am open Monday to Thursday, 7am–6pm, all year round.
Earlier drop-offs are available on request, at an additional cost.

My setting is also easily accessible by local bus routes, as well as the A444 and M6, making drop-offs and pick-ups convenient for families.
