Hi,
I am Sam, 51 years old I have 3 adopted grown up children who have been in my care from the ages of 18 months 3 & 5, all three girls have ASD & ADHD so I have years of hands on experience. I also have 3 birth children 22, 19 & 18 I also have 2 step children 21 & 19
I live with my husband and our children and our beagle Stanley, who is very noisy and mischievous but the kids love him!
My Experience
I am FEL registered for free 2,3 & 4 year old places.
I am a member of the forest childcare association
I have achieved a very strong GOOD grade in all areas with OFSTED in September 2022
I have vast experience with autism and ADHD.
I am very experienced with new born babies.
I am a very hands on child minder who thrives on outdoors play, physical activities and hands on tasks.
I ensure all children in my care learn through having hands on fun wherever possible, I challenge children to push their comfort zones and become independent learners. We spend lots of time outdoors exploring, woodlands, river and canal walks and use my allotment as a fabulous hands on learning space.
I have worked with children from lots of backgrounds with different needs.
I work to the eyfs frame work, but I am also very conscious that children need to be outdoors and learn from the environment around us, ticking boxes is not the most important thing happiness and fun are! .
I believe learning through play is the most important thing for a child to experience.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
basic day care charge is
£4.50 per hour per child (PHPC).
I do not work Monday's, weekends or Bank holidays, and I give notice of my annual holidays each December.

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at St Patrick's Catholic Voluntary Academy

Sam looked after my daughter from the age of 18months to 3 years. She made my daughter feel very welcome and part of their family. Sam did many activities from lovely walks, park visits, time on her allotment and soft play just to name a few. Whilst with Sam, my daughter came on leaps and bounds, she was a very shy child but with Sam and her helpers love and care she really came out of her shell to become a very clever, articulate little girl and she grew in confidence massively. Sam kept me up to date with a personal development folder and regular photos to show all the fun things they got up to.
If we weren't moving house she would have stayed with her through school too!
I am very sad I can't bring Sam with me to our new house. 5* child care provider.
