Excellent Childminder!

We have been sending our son Baxter to Nina's for almost 2 years now, just after he turned 1 and are very happy with our choice of care setting.

Nina is very approachable and supportive in every way. Most recently we have been potty training Baxter and Nina is very supportive with our approach and offers guidance and advice. Nina has years of experience she shares and puts me at ease with Baxter's development and progress.
Nina provides activities every week for Baxter and the other children. Baxter loves going to the allotment and playing outside, it is the highlight of his week! Nina makes a conscious effort to focus on counting, colours, shapes and creativity which Baxter enjoys and is learning lots every day.

Baxter has always been happy to go to Nina's and is always happy and chatty at the end of the day, telling us what he has been up to. Baxter is coming up to 3 years old and we made the decision to keep him at Nina's setting and not send him to nursery and he is so happy with Nina and that is one of the most important parts of choosing a childcare giver.

I have no question that Nina's setting is safe and secure, Nina's family are great and are always welcoming to Baxter and us! Nina provides a nurturing, caring and kind environment and we are completely comfortable having Baxter in her care.

Incredible Childminder!

Our daughter, Betsy has been cared for by Nina from the age of 1 and she absolutely LOVES spending her days there. Betsy just strolls straight in when dropped off and is always happy when collected. We were anxious like lots of parents when returning to work, but Nina was extremely reassuring, nurturing and communicated so well.

Nina always has lovely activities and play setups for the children, centered around learning through play. Her resources are excellent, inclusive and inviting, so much so, we often ask for tips of how to use similar setups at home!

As well as wonderful indoor activities, she has a lovely garden, full of fun things to play with and a very cute wooden playhouse, which the children all seem to love. The children also visit an allotment with Nina where they learn all about nature, caring for the environment, see the cute chickens and play with the outdoor resources they have there (Betsy really loves this!)

Nina has a helpful communication book which let's us know what Betsy has done for the day, how she's been, what she's eaten and how she slept. This is so handy and also lovely to hear details of how she's spent her time. It helps us have conversations with her about her day.

I cannot recommend Nina enough. I feel so relieved that we found her and that Betsy spends her days in such a nurturing, fun and educational environment. It's hard leaving your child in the hands of someone else, but Betsy is so happy, her development since being there has been great and as parents, we are extremely happy and thankful.

Fantastic Childminder - thoroughly recommend

Nina looked after our son from when he was 9 months old until he started school at 4 years.
I was extremely anxious about returning to work at the end of my maternity leave, we had several visits to settle both him and me. Nina was reassuring and kept me fully updated as to how he was and what he was doing through the day, making the transition much easier. She provided daily diaries with photographs and details of what he had done, what he'd eaten, sleeps he'd had through the day. This kept us fully informed of what he'd been up to whilst away from us, especially as he got older and wouldn't tell us himself!
My son had a lovely time with Nina. She undertook a wide range of activities with the children in her care, both in her home and garden and in the local community, such as local play groups, singing activities and open days at the local fire station etc.
Nina and her family are lovely people, we have fond memories of our son's time in her care and have kept all his diaries and photographs.
We would thoroughly recommend her.

Excellent home from home environment

I have known Nina now for coming up to 6 years. She has looked after my 6 year old daughter from the age of 1 and my almost 4 year old son also from the age of 1 year on a full time basis. I can say wholeheartedly that the love and support, underpinned by structure and development, has been a testament to how well rounded both my children have become.
Nina’s days include plenty of activities, visits to local farms, singing at Crazy Hazy, forest school, arts and crafts at home creating special Christmas, Valentines, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day cards and keepsakes. Everything is organised with the children’s development in mind. Safety of the children is also paramount to Nina.
Nina keeps a daily diary of each child which is always fun to read at the end of the day and from time to time sends you photos of your child having fun or being a little monkey.
I can highly recommend Nina as a childminder as my experience has been a very positive one of absolute love, support, development and understanding of my children.

Great childminder

Nina has provided after school and holiday care for my daughter and son for the last 4 years. Both are very happy to attend and often need coaxing to leave! Nina provides a wide variety of activities and trips during the holidays. The garden is very popular in the summer.

Both children were wary of pets before joining Nina but now very much look forward to stroking the cats and learning about how to care for them.

My daughter has a peanut allergy requiring an epipen. Nina is always careful to check any food provided is suitable and is also diligent in making sure she always has the medication to hand.

Outstanding childminder

Nina has been our childminder for over three years. She is a highly professional childminder with ample experience, strong work ethic and integrity. We especially like her cordial and caring personality.

Nina provides a safe and pleasant setting for children at her home, where they do lots of educational and fun activities. She also takes children out to play groups, parks and farms etc.

Both my daughter and son blossomed under Nina's care. Their language, communication, cognitive and social skills are well developed, thanks to Nina's minding and training.

Last year Nina was rated by the Ofsted as an outstanding childminder, an honour that's well deserved. We congratulate Nina on her great achievement and as parents, we highly appreciate her efforts in caring for our children.

Amazing Childminder

Nina has looked after my son Alex (3.5) since he was 8 months old. I never would have dreamed of a better person to entrust my son with. She is friendly, calm and assertive as well as very professional. The countless day trips and fun activities have made Alex (and myself) very happy. His development due to being in Ninas setting is great and I honestly think he is the little person he is due to Nina's helping hand in raising him.
She has been rated outstanding for a very good reason - she is!

Excellent, warm, caring childcare

Nina has been my child minder for 7 years. First to my oldest daughter Nyah (8) to whom she still provides after school care for and now to Sienna (4), my second daughter from the age of 1 year.

They both have always enjoyed going to her house and all the activities she does with them. They have also had trips to parks, farms, local events and fun trips to the zoo also - which Nina plans brilliantly and send updated to assure they are having a great time.

Nina gets to know what children enjoy doing and helps makes their play time fun and enjoyable whist also teaching how to share and take turns. Sienna’s learning has benefitted from Nina’s careful planning of how to help each child in their different stages, with clever topics such as; colour, seasonal topics & literacy themes.

I have had no problems with Nina in the time she has provided care for my girls. I believe we have a positive relationship as mother and child minder and I can approach Nina with any concerns and vise versa. Nina is very reliable, helpful and has a special way to make children blossom.
