I am a very friendly out going person, and I am passionate about the development of children. I have a smoke free home , and is a home from home for your child to feel safe secure and happy , while u can have peace of mind . My services offer a huge selection of both in door and out door toys toys , books , crafts and games , ,play house ,dress up , imaginary toys., walks to the local park ,wood walk , library painting and crafts, we attend play groups have .Fun days out that are child friendly , we also do cooking , quite time , story time
I have two sons, aged 24 and 18. My 18 year old currently lives at home with me . We have a small toy poodle dog called Paddy who loves children ..
My Experience
I have worked in the child care sector for the past 35 years . I worked In a Montessori school in Toronto Canada . And also as a classroom assistant in Ireland . I have been childminding here in Essex for the past 18 years.

Montessori Trained

I have attended the courses on training to be a childminder in the UK
I have completed level 3 paediatric first Aid course .
I have completed the course Embedding EYFS into childminding practice .

My daughter was with kathleen from the age 2. From the very 1st day, actually visit! She settled in immediately. I never had any worries. Kathleen did an amazing job caring for my daughter. Her days were filled with learning and fun - farm visits, gardening, baking, nature walks, library visits. Kathleen kept me updated on her progress with pictures, phonecalls and reports/memory box. She helped my daughter learn to read, write and basic maths in preparation for primary school. Kathleen will be dearly missed. My daughter was sad to leave but excited for her next steps and this just goes to show the level of care, confidence and encourgement Kathleen instills in her kids. I highly highly recommend Kathleen for any prospective parents seeking childcare. Your child(ren) will be left in very capable hands and will thrive under Kathleen's care

My daughters have been with Kathleen since they turned one. From day one, the girls have been looked after with love and dedication, and their days were always filled with fun. Feeling safe helped me to work without any concerns, which I believe is a top priority for every parent. Kathleen taught them how to write and read even before they started reception, and most importantly, they grew confident and polite under her care. There is no screen time in her settings but only days filled with fun, such as visits to farms, the beach, the library, walk in the woods, splashparks, ect, and work and memory books ( a whole big box of notebooks received on our last day with her ). I recommend Kathleen to everyone and especially for those who believe in the power of education and strong social skills.

My daughter has been with Kathleen for about a month now. I was very scared of putting her into childcare as she is a very shy and isolated child. Since being with Kathleen there is an improvement in her confidence and she has become very independent. I feel that Kathleen goes the extra mile, shows love and has a genuine interest in my child's wellbeing and education. It is like a home away from home. She communicates my child's progress regularly. Very happy with her and would recommend her to anyone.
