A warm hello from Rebecca and Victoria – co-childminders

We offer a nurturing, nature-rich early years experience for children aged 0–5, rooted in play, curiosity, and connection.

While we work towards opening our purpose-built Lille & Wild Forest Kindergarten nursery, we are delighted to offer the same high-quality care through our small co-childminding setting, opening January 2026. Working with small numbers allows us to build strong relationships and truly follow each child’s interests.

We are based at Stogumber Cricket Club, Station Road, Stogumber, using the cricket club building as our indoor base alongside the surrounding outdoor spaces. We are also developing plans for our own log-cabin Forest Kindergarten nursery on adjoining land as part of our long-term vision.

Our philosophy is simple: children learn best when they are free to explore, play, and discover at their own pace. We take an outdoors-first approach, with children spending much of their day immersed in nature, supported by gentle daily rhythms and child-led learning.

Our practice is shaped by Forest Kindergarten training, early years experience, and play-based pedagogy inspired by a range of early childhood thinkers. We balance child-led play, gentle adult-led experiences, and planning in the moment to support all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Although the outdoors is central to our setting, children always have access to a calm, inviting indoor space for creativity, rest, and connection.
