I am a caring, compassionate, honest, reliable, warm, trustworthy Person. I am a mum of two grown up boys with lots of experience in the childcare profession. I am pretty active and also help my son out with his small business.
My Experience
I have 21 years experience of working with children including 9 years as a Foster carer. During my time as a foster carer I looked after two children age 2 and under. Each placement would often start with me travelling to hospital to collect newborn babies. I also have experience of looking after twins. I arranged medical appointments and attended professional meetings. I was able to get the children into good routines and watch them grow into confident little toddlers. I supported children to move on to their 'forever' families.
I have been working in a Children's Centre for 13 years. My job roles within the have moved from Under 5's Education worker to Senior Early Years Practitioner where I had the responsibility of co-ordinating all stay and play groups including a group that supported children who had language delays to now being the SENCO. This role is very challenging as I work in a large nursery with a large number of Children with SEN including Autism and Physical disabilities. I work very closely with parents and professionals and ensure that children with SEN get the additional help and support that they need to thrive in our setting. I support staff within the centre by modelling strategies and creating individual visuals to support children with SEN including Makaton, using objects of reference, intensive interactions, sensory circuits and visuals. I manage a team of 6 SEN support workers and together we ensure that every child with special educational needs are supported to take part and thrive in every aspect of nursery life.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
£13 an hour for sibling group of up to 2. I am happy to discuss larger sibling or family group. I am happy to stay after midnight for as long as you need but cab fare home will need to be added.

3.5 year old boy saw Jo and immediately liked her. Nice first experience!
Overall
Jo came to us at short notice and looked after 'FOUR' boys aged between 5-12yrs without a hitch. They all said she was great - and we are inclined to agree. Really helpful personality, immediately involved and very professional. Couldn't do better, many thanks!
