About Me

Ofsted registered childminder at Little Rainbows Childminding Devon in West Hill near Ottery St Mary, offering wrap around care for children attending West Hill Preschool and West Hill Primary School.

The happiness and well-being of your child is of paramount importance to me, and I will provide your child with a welcoming, friendly, safe and happy home from home environment. The radical changes that childminding has seen in recent years means that I work to a very high standard of professionalism, and aim to provide the next best thing to your own home. I am a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY) which means I am supported in promoting the highest standard of childcare and learning. 

As parents of three young girls myself, I know how difficult it is to choose childcare, and I will do all I can to help you and your child feel comfortable and settled with me. I place an emphasis on natural and gentle parenting techniques.  That said I will work closely with you from the beginning to continue to provide the same care for your child as they are used to at home, working to whatever style suits your family the best.

I work primarily from a purpose built cabin in the garden, which is well equipped with a wonderful selection of age-appropriate toys and resources, all easily accessible for children to self-select. I lean towards natural, open ended resources to encourage the natural curiosity and active imaginations of the children I care for.

I am extremely passionate about the importance of being outdoors and believe learning in natural environments is second to none. We will spend as much time as possible in the garden during our after school club, lots of time to decompress after a day in the classroom.

Breakfast club before school will see a variety of cereals, fruit and toast on offer, with board games, puzzles, books and simple craft activities available. We will then walk to school together.
