About Me
I am a Tiney registered childminder with a wealth of Early years experience.
I am based in Horsmonden. I offer full day care for babies and young children, Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 6pm. I also offer wrap around care for older children, with pick up and drop off available from Horsmonden Primary Academy and Horsmonden Kindergarten.
I am extremely passionate about early years education and the vital role in plays in helping children to achieve their full potential. As a qualified teacher, I am very experienced in meeting children's learning and development needs within the Early Years Foundation Stage; identifying and planning for children's individual needs.
Within my spacious setting, I offer children a wide range of stimulating and engaging, play based, learning opportunities both inside and out to help them learn the core skills that are fundamental in helping them develop into awesome humans. This includes things such as a range of outings to local places, such National trust properties, local woodland and parks, libraries and various toddler groups, planting and growing a range of plants and vegetables in the garden, messy play, role play and small world, singing and sharing books and stories. Time outside in nature is a big part of my setting, being a lover of the outdoors and Forest School trained, I follow the Forest School ethos where possible to help the children to develop their resilience, risk management, confidence and self esteem.
The children will receive fresh, home cooked food daily. Where possible, they will be encouraged to help with the preparation and cooking of meals and snacks, helping to develop their independence.
As a mother myself with two young children, currently aged 4 and 11 months, I understand the importance of finding the right setting for both you and your child. My Experience
I have 15 years experience working in the childcare and education sector. I have worked in nurseries in paid and voluntary capacities, in baby room's through to pre-school.
I have also worked as a live in nanny for a family with three children.
I am also a qualified teacher with 7 years experience of working predominantly in Early Years, but also in key stages one and two. I have experience of working with children from a range of backgrounds with varying needs, including children with Special Educational Needs.
While working in schools I completed my Level 3 Forest School training, planning and running sessions for children across the primary age range.

My Availability
I have limited availability for full day care Monday - Thursday, 7.30am - 6pm, for children ages 3 months to 4 years. I also offer wrap around care for older children.

Emma has been looking after our two children (now 5 & 2) since September last year. She has been so professional and thorough and the kids love spending time with her.
She has been flexible and reliable and exactly what we have needed with busy jobs and a young family.
The children have been treated as a part of her family but there are also all the formal policies and procedures in place that you would expect in a childcare facility. She is experienced and knowledgeable about young babies and those in the early years at school.
We have used various childcare arrangements over the years and Emma has been the best by far and we feel very lucky to have found her.
