I am an experienced Ofsted registered childminder with an 'Outstanding' rating. I am based in Halesowen.
I have been a child-minder SINCE 2007 and my home has a playroom and garden for play. I offer a childcare setting in a safe, friendly and fun environment for pre-school aged children, providing them with a wide range of activities, including visits to many local parks, national trust, nature walks, music, yoga and dance sessions and access to forest school/woodland play.
I love children to experience lots of sensory play, craft activities and messy play - indoors and especially outdoors, we particularly enjoy visits to the local Clent Hills in all weathers!. We often visit a local PYO vegetable/fruit farm, Uffmoor woods and local nature reserves. We also have special outings and in the past have visited Whitlenge Gardens, Bewdley and Little Owl Farm, to list a few. Children have lots of opportunity to develop physically and socially whilst nurturing their curiosity in the natural world. They have opportunity for making friends and having heaps of fun together!
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2007 and during this time I have built up a good local reputation as a Childminder. It is important to me to develop a good working relationship with parents and by working together we have a positive impact on children's learning and development. I meet with 2 other childminders, which ensures the children have lots of social interaction and fun.
I have provided care for newborns and have experience of supporting children with additional needs and SEN and working closely with parents and other agencies.
My recent Ofsted inspection graded me Outstanding for the third time, I pride myself on offering an inclusive setting and have excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage which ensures your child not only experiences all areas of learning, but is also developing into a unique individual with special skills, interests and ideas preparing and educating them on their learning journey to School.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development. I am a member of PACEY (professional association for childcare and early years) and hold Public Liability Insurance. I can deliver the 15 or 30 hours of Early Education Funding to eligible children aged 2, 3 & 4 years old and Time for Two's for those who meet the required criteria.
I will also be able to offer the 15/30 hour funding for children aged 9-23 months when this becomes available in 2024/2025, subject to criteria and government legislation, (for upto date information please look at the childcare choices website)
I am a member of the Dudley Childminding Network and review and keep my training up to date as I believe it is important to develop existing and learn new skills which can only enhance my setting.

My Availability
My childminding service is available Monday-Friday between 7.30am - 4.30pm. I provide childcare during Term Time and School Holidays, excluding any bank holidays or family holidays.
I am currently full each day until September 2024.
I will have a Friday becoming available in September when children leave to commence School.
Unfortunately I do not offer a wrap around School service or care for School age children. I also do not drop or collect children to local nurseries.
Parents are invited to discuss their child's individual care requirements with me as I can sometimes be flexible to suit your specific needs.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
Please discuss your child's individual or additional care requirements and any specific dietary needs upon enquiry.
Day Rate is currently £50.00 per day. I do not offer half day or session rates.
Most childcare Vouchers accepted.
Government tax free scheme registered
30 hour Early Education Funded for 2, 3 & 4 year olds
Time for Twos for eligible.

Louise is a kind, friendly and respectful lady, who runs a welcoming, well organised and happy setting. You can see she is very passionate about providing the best care and she can and enjoys it.
We viewed several local nursery's and child minders settings and Louise quite instantly stood out. Her setting is well presented and kept clean and tidy. She has key areas for the children to explore including a full equipped play room and garden. She places the children in a quiet room comfortably for nap times, away from distractions.
Louise provides breakfast if needed, followed by healthy snacks through out the day, a home cooked meal for lunch and a smaller tea time meal if required.
She provides monthly guides of their planned activities and details which skills and development stages they hope to cover during these. She follows a strong routine which our daughter settled into very quickly with lots of daily morning trips out across local parks, woods, farms and centres accommodating all weather conditions followed by close interaction activities once settled in the afternoons, plenty of stories, songs, imagination play as well as arts and crafts. Our daughter especially enjoys sand and water play with friends and also planting and baking activities (anything 'messy'). She also works closely with two other local child-minders, which really helps with social interaction and forming relationships.
Louise provides a detailed daily diary, including meals, nappies, sleeps and daily activities. From this we can picture their day, which helps us to feel involved and leaves us plenty to talk about. She provides photos of any key points and a brilliantly detailed learning journey. She is very supportive and is more than happy to take the time to discuss any concerns or form strategies to help with any requirements we have.
Our daughter joined Louise's setting at 10months old and settled in incredibly well, Louise gained her confidence quickly and has managed to encourage new skills and progress. Our daughter now walks happily in each morning, excited for the day ahead and is always still smiling on pick up.
Highlighting that the setting had to close for approximately 3 months during the 'lock down' period this year, our daughter still returned comfortable and Louise has given us every confidence that the setting remains safe and puts every effort to maintain this.
If there is a time where our daughter is hurt or feeling unwell, we are kept informed but I know that she feels comforted by Louise and we are confident that she can administer either first aid or medication following all the correct procedures and completing the necessary records.
We plan to continue using the setting until we no longer require childcare, and highly recommend getting in contact for any of your childcare needs.
