We are SO glad we found Debbie to be our sons childminder. He was with her from age 2 1/2 to 4 when he started school.
I was initially unsure whether we should send him to preschool rather than childminder so he was used to a big group before school. Debbie patiently talked this through with us and explained she helps the children she works with to build resilience and self assurance which means they are able to confidently start school. This is exactly what happened! He went from a very shy boy, to a self assured, resilient, adventure loving boy who has loved starting big school. Debbie made every day fun and a learning experience. She supported the younger children to make close, meaningful friendships, whilst building their confidence interacting with the older children when the schoolies are around.
Every day was an adventure - be it a day at the farm or zoo, trips to the country park and sand park, soft play, hatching butterflies, nature walks, learning their letters and hunting them out and about, learning road safety, allowing them to choose the plan, meeting with other childminders and their kids. He loved it all and we will all miss Debbie ❤️ Thank you so much. You've given him a great start and will always mean so much to us xx
