About Me

I am an ofsted registered childminder and have been awarded 'outstanding' with ofsted three times!!
I have two grown up boys of my own aged 20 & 22
I plan activities around the weather eg.when snowing, we make snow flake pictures, when it’s windy we make kites.
when its mothers day we will do art and crafts for that.
Also activities relevant to the children in my care, for example if recent hairdressers trip we will make our own hairdressers/ opticians/ holiday..etc.
I also like to do a book theme and act out characters or a nursery rhyme theme once a month.
I have passes for willows farm and whipsinade zoo and like to visit there often. We also go to the library, parks and lots of walks out in nature exploring the outdoors.
I have a playroom with a wide range of toys suitable for all ages.
I work together with another registered childminder and the children form great friendships.

My Experience

I have been working with children since i left school at the age of 16. i completed my nvq 2 while working in a st.albans nursery in 1996. I was then asked to become a nanny in which i enjoyed working close with 2 families over 12 years. after i was made redundant from this family, i then registered as a childminder in january 2007. I keep up to date with courses.eg,first aid/safeguarding
And have been awarded ‘outstanding’ with ofsted three times. (Last inspection February 2022)
