About Me
OUR SETTING
Our aim is to support your children to become confident, well- rounded, individuals by focusing on the whole child and supporting physical, social, emotional and academic development equally.
We aim to help children develop a positive ‘can do’ attitude, strong mental wellbeing, perseverance, resilience, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning whilst caring for them in a loving and supportive family environment.
We provide a truly individual and personalised service providing mostly child-led, and occasionally adult-led, play experiences based on a solid knowledge of Child Development, the Early Years Curriculum, Behaviour Management and the Psychology of Learning. We focus on children’s personal interests and motivators, celebrating achievement (no matter how big or small) and most importantly on making learning natural, enjoyable and fun.
In our setting children explore play-based experiences with a range of developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor toys as well as opportunities to explore the local community and the great outdoors. We aim to provide a rich learning experience, broadening their knowledge and revisiting and consolidating as well as developing new skills.
We provide opportunities for daily physical activity, serve healthy snacks and meals and promote wellbeing activities so children learn to take care of their physical and emotional wellbeing. We also support children’s social development helping them to learn to respect and care about property, animals, the environment and the rights and needs of others as well as advocating for themselves .
We offer part time, full time and term time only contracts and separate school holiday care.
We accept government funded hours and accept payments through vouchers and tax free childcare accounts.
Our whole family is DBS checked and have paediatric first aid training. We keep up to date with all required training including safeguarding and food hygiene.
My Experience
I am a Qualified Primary School and Early Years Teacher, as well as an Ofsted Registered Childminder. I have many years experience teaching the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum including teaching in both Nursery and Reception
I am experienced working with children of all ages ranging from birth to age 12 and have been childminding for 18 years. My 22 yr old daughter is my registered assistant and is training to register in her own right.

Monday to Friday 7.00am-6.30pm
Occasional weekend hours and unsociable hours 6-7.00am and 6.30-9pm can be arranged at additional cost.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
WRAP AROUND CARE age 3yrs -11yrs
(before and after school or nursery)
£5.50ph -wraparound 7-9am/3-6.30pm
£5.50ph -minimum 1hr fee both am and pm
-This includes drinks, meals and snacks
-Parents to pay any external activity fees
**For Funded 3yr olds if you are not using your full 15/30hrs at nursery we can claim for the additional hours .
INSET DAYS AND SCHOOL HOLIDAY CARE
Non funded 3yrs -12yrs
£5.00ph minimum 4hr session
-This includes drinks, meals and snacks
-Parents to pay any external entrance or activity fees.
-A small contribution may be requested towards the costs of materials involved in any significant science experiences and/or craft projects.
BABIES 0-9mths
£5.50ph minimum 3hr session
-Parents to supply nappies, wipes and spare clothes.
-Parents to supply formula or breast milk, pre sterilised bottles and first weaning foods (these can be frozen).
**If you are eligible for Government Funding this will not be until the start of the term AFTER your child turns 9mths (September /January / April ).
NON FUNDED PLACES 9mth - 4yr olds
£7.00ph Educational Hours 9am -3pm
£5.50ph Wraparound 7-9am/3-6.30pm

-Parents to supply nappies, wipes and spare clothes.
-Parents to supply formula or breast milk, pre sterilised bottles and first weaning foods (these can be frozen) until their child can eat mashed up family meals, finger foods and drink cows milk. At this point fees will include drinks, meals and snacks.
FUNDED PLACES 9mths -4yrs 15-30hrs
Funded Hours offered between 9am-3pm
Minimum 3hr Session
£7.00ph Additional Educational Hours for those only in receipt of 15hrs funding but requiring more .
£5.50ph additional hours outside or in addition of the educational entitlement
-Parents to pay any external entrance or activity fees.
-Parents to supply nappies, wipes and spare clothes.

FURTHER INFORMATION ON FUNDING
We offer places for those eligible for 15/30hrs government funding.
*Funding is provided for 38 weeks a year and is designed to pay for the educational element of a child’s care. We therefore offer funded places during the same hours as school - 9am-3pm. Hours outside of this time are billed at £5.50ph.
*Funding can be used flexibly but no more than 30hrs can be used in a single week.
*It is possible to stretch the offer over the 48 weeks that we are open which would be 11.88/23.75hrs instead of 15/30hrs a week.
* If you have 15 hrs these can be used flexibly within the times of 9am-3pm eg
3days-5hrs/ 5days- 3hrs/ 4days-3.75hrs
*Funding may be split between a maximum of two providers.
*If you contract with us we will require any contracts to finish at the end of an academic term so at Christmas/ Easter or July. We will not transfer funding mid-way through an academic term.
UNSOCIABLE HOURS
Hours outside of our standard working hours of 7am-6.30pm are referred to as unsociable hours.
6-7am and 6.30-9pm are billed at £10ph
