Hi, my name is Claire, and i am a registered GOOD graded ofsted childminder and DBS cleared. I won childminder of the year 2018 ,I am 45 years old i have two children a girl Chloe 24 years and a boy Joshua 21
years and I live with my fiancée Jason .
i love looking after children and have several years of experience. My house is a smoke-free house, and we have fish and a gecko for pets.
we live in a house with a secure and equipt garden and have a large equipt play room i offer home from home atmosphere where children can enjoy fun and educational activities indoor and outdoor of all ages and abilities. I do school runs, drop-offs, and pick ups, i will do regular visits to libraries, parks, shops, toddler groups, and stay and plays and groups at my local children's centre. i will also offer a healthy, varied menu and snacks.
i am pacey (NCMA) insured and also drive with a full childcare business insurance with privilege.
My Experience
While studying at college i worked in several school nurseries and private day nurseries working with children from birth to 5 years then once qualified i worked in a private day nursery as baby room manager for 2 years then left to have my own children, When my children were 1 year and 4 years i worked as a creche worker at Caslon primary school minding parents children while they took part in training and parent classes, I did that for 2 years and then began working at Caslon beacher bear day care nursery as the nursery manager i did that for 5 years and then worked part time and cover while becoming a registered childminder.

My Fees
- Childminding from £3.80 per hour
5 per hour. Extra costs for meals £1 per day for breakfast and £2 for lunch and tea per day go onto the hourly rate, or you can provide your own. I can also do pick-ups and drop-offs at home for a little petrol charge.
£5.50 per hour for before and after school children this includes breakfast/tea snacks and drop offs and pick ups at school at the moment I do pick ups and drop offs at mount pleasant and quarry bank primary, temple meadow and old hill primary and reddall hill primary and Manor way.

Our daughter has been with Claire since the age of 1 up until starting school and she has loved every minute!!!
As soon as she started, Claire took the time to get to know her and learn about her likes/dislikes. When she started at Claire's she was very shy and very attached to parents and Claire has helped build her confidence so much and now she is so confident and outspoken :)
Claire takes the children on trips such as to see Santa each year and we get sent lots of lovely pictures and updates.
Claire is great at communicating with parents and updating Tapestry so we can see all the great things the children get up to. The environment is fantastic and the children always do lots of arts and crafts and come back with lovely things they've made.
Our daughter has made some really lovely friendships whilst at Claire's and she is very sad to be leaving but Claire really has helped in getting her school ready. Thanks to Claire's help I know she will do amazing when starting Reception.

My daughter Lexi attended Claire's setting since she was 8 months old and she has just started reception!
Claire is absolutely amazing! Lexi had the best time at Claire's! She always went in with a smile and came out with a smile!
Claire offered a whole range of different fun and educational activities which I loved hearing about and seeing the photos on tapestry.
Claire takes the children out into the community too with visits to the park, library, zigzags, Christmas trips etc.
Lexi also has health conditions and Claire ensured she wouldn't miss out!
Claire always offers good homemade nutritional food and lex would always finish her plate !
Claire has a wealth of knowledge on child development and at one point I thought Lexi would never speak and me and Claire together came up a range of activities to help lexi and now she doesn't shut up!!!
Also Claire offered Lexi reward charts and prizes and certificates when she did well in any area of development!
Unfortunately due to covid and lexi being vulnerable we had to shield her and not only was Claire there for Lexi, she was also there for us as a family too and her constant communication with us made the world of difference to know we had her support! Nothing is too much for Claire and if there were any issues Claire dealt with them appropriately and timely!
If I had my way, Lexi would always stay with Claire because she was always so happy there and Lexi would moan when I picked her up because she didn't want to come away!!
Claire is such a caring, compassionate, friendly, helpful and amazing childminder.
In my humble and somewhat biased opinion Claire is the best child minder in world and to quote Mary Poppins 'simply perfect in every way!'

Claire has looked after my little boy since he was 6 months old all the way through to reception - him starting school. I can not recommend her enough. Claire has been amazing since day one, always has the time to listen ensuring she fully understands your child needs, likes/dislikes . She's caring and kind but also applies appropriate boundaries to help growth and development. She's always keeping them busy with many activities whether these be indoor or outdoor! Her home is perfectly set up and is a child's heaven! Claire actively updates tapestry with photos which allows you to see your child's development. Claire treats the children with love and kindness and has the patients of a saint! She supplies well balanced meals and snacks throughout the day encouraging routine and structure.
Thank you for everything you have done for my little man! Teaching him and guiding him through his early years allowing him to be confident now he's starting school!

Our son has been with Claire since he turned 1 and now he is 3 years old. There has never been any doubt in our mind that he isn't in great hands. We still can't believe we found her because she is truly a God sent; and we are eternally grateful for her care. She is very kind, caring, professional and flexible when required. Our son felt right at home and he bonded with Claire and her entire family who I must say are very pleasant people.
On every special occasion throughout the year, our son comes back with arts, crafts, cards and yummy treats. He loved going to Claire's and he even had special toys he enjoyed playing with. He never gets bored and he's always intellectually stimulated with the fun activities. I love the fact that Claire updates his tapestry so we can all see what he's been up to during the week.
I have never met a calmer and patient person like Claire and anyone will be lucky to have her looking after their child/ren.
She does a lot for Charities as well which we admire. She is always there to give advice and work things out if there's any obstacles in the way. If we can have her forever, we will but we all have to move on eventually. She is now a part of our family and we are forever grateful for her exceptional services. Hate to sound mushy but you are forever in our hearts and we thank you a million.

Our daughter Isabel has been going to Claires for 6 years and had the best time. She is moving to secondary school soon so our time is coming to an end. She has always been safe and loved going. This is probably why Claire won childminder of the year award in 2019 I believe. Great facilities and very professional.

Our daughter has been going to Claire for 7 months now and has loved going from the very first time she set foot in Claire’s house. We really do feel that Claire provides our daughter with a home from home and an exceptional service. It’s lovely to watch our daughter get excited the night before she goes and how Claire’s family include Esme like she is part of the family. We really couldn’t imagine our daughter going anywhere else and can not speak highly enough of Claire.

Claire has looked after my son since he was 11 months old. She is fantastic, he loves going to Claire’s house. Claire updates his tapestry regularly and a daily diary of what Kieran has been up to.
Every mother’s, fathers, Christmas days etc etc, he comes home with hand made gifts, which is lovely.
Claire is very kind, caring and brilliant at what she does. I wouldn’t and couldn’t wish for a better childminder for my son. She is part of the family to us ❤️

Claire helps me a lot since we moved to Birmingham last year. I feel so lucky that I found her. She is really kind, helps me and my 7 years in a lot of occasions. She is flexible whenever I need help, she is always there. My son loves to go to her place. He thinks it is fun. Every time I say you are going to Claire s tomorrow, he is happy. I recommend her and I am sure you will feel lucky as I do.

My son has been with Claire for 6 months now and he loves her. Claire is reliable, friendly and knows her stuff. His learning journey that she has put together is fab, he has come so far in such a short space of time. She is always doing lovely activities with him, takes him to toddler groups and out and about and I know he is in safe hands. We have a diary of everything he has done each day and get photos too. I can't find the words to express how pleased we are that he is so happy and settled. If you are looking for a childminder Claire is wonderful!
