About Me
My name is Danielle and I live in Southsea with my 14 yr old son, husband Steve, and loving cat and tortoise. I aim to provide a very homely setting with plenty of space for children to play, explore, and learn. I plan lots of activities, including welly walks, beach combing, treasure hunts, sand and water play, story sacks, and dressing up/role play. They are all designed to ensure children learn whilst having fun and complying with the Early Years Foundation Stage. We spend a lot of time in the outdoors and go out, come rain or shine to parks, woods, farms, or just simple educational visits to the market or library. I have a fully insured vehicle with all car seats and a suitable pushchair for walking. I include all home cooked meals and vary what the children eat to ensure they try plenty of new things. I have full public liability insurance and risk assessments are carried out regularly at home and when out and about. OFSTED rated 'Outstanding' October 2022. I have a foundation degree in Early Years Care, First class BA hons degree in Education, a post graduate diploma in Education and NVQ Level 3 diploma in Childcare in the Workplace which means I can offer 15 or 30 hrs free childcare for children from 9 months to 5 .. I have also achieved a Post Graduate diploma in Education with my focus on supporting risky play within early years settings.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for 12 years. I also volunteered at the local children's centre and ran a very successful outdoor playgroup. I was a Sea Cadet Sailing instructor working with children aged from 6-16. This was very rewarding and helped make the decision to become a full-time childcare provider. I am now a leader with the Cubs Scout organisation. These links to other organizations prove invaluable in offering me ideas to use with the minded children. Most recently I have been contracted by the Department of education to support childminders nationally in the COVID-19 Recovery programme. This has involved coaching and mentoring childminders to ensure they are meeting the emerging needs of the children following the pandemic and providing networking opportunities for childminders to attend with their children, focusing on Speech, language & Communication and Personal, Social & Emotional development. This role has been carried out outside of my childminding working hours.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My fees are very competitive and fully reflect the complete service I offer so please contact me to arrange a viewing. £5 for school aged children. £6.50 for all under 5's. Fees include all food, outings and activities
I also offer the government funded childcare available for eligible families from aged 9 months. Full details of my funding policy are available on request.

My son was with Danielle from age 2 to 4, and I can honestly say she has been one of the most important and positive influences in his early years.
Danielle is kind, nurturing, and full of warmth, the kind of person every parent hopes to find when looking for childcare.
She created a caring, fun, and stimulating environment where my son thrived.
Every day was packed with activities that supported his learning and development, from creative arts and crafts to outdoor play and educational games. He made lovely friendships, learned so much, and was always excited to go, a true reflection of how happy and settled he felt in her care.
Danielle became more than just a childminder, she became a trusted part of our lives. We’re still in touch with her, and there’s no question that when our younger child is ready, they’ll be going to Danielle too.
I trust her just like I would a member of my own family.
I wholeheartedly recommend Danielle to any parent looking for a safe, loving, and enriching environment for their child. She’s truly one of a kind.

Danielle at Toodles Tots Childminding has been the most incredible childminder for our little boy, Theo. From day one, Danielle created a warm, nurturing, and fun environment where Theo absolutely thrived. He looked forward to every single day with her and always came home happy, confident, and full of stories.
Danielle goes above and beyond in every way – from the creative activities she plans to the way she encourages friendships and learning through play. We’ve also made so many lovely friends through Toodles Tots, and we’re still in touch with Danielle now, which says everything about the kind of person she is.
We truly couldn't recommend her more – she gave Theo the best foundation we could have hoped for. Thank you, Danielle – you’re amazing ❤️
