Kate
Nanny in London (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
Looking for ad hoc work Fridays and Saturdays and evening babysitting only.
Hi, I’m Kate – a nurturing, fun and proactive nanny with a genuine love for children and a deep understanding of early childhood development.
My approach is gentle, consistent and developmentally focused. I don’t use time outs or harsh consequences. I believe in positive reinforcement, building secure relationships, and leading by example.
I have a special interest in early years attachment and emotional wellbeing. I’ve recently completed a Child Psychology course and attended a ‘Supporting Children’s Emotional Wellbeing’ workshop at the Montessori Institute.
I’m currently training as a Montessori Assistant.
With plenty of experience caring for newborns, babies and toddlers, I’m confident supporting families through key stages like establishing routines, weaning and potty training.
I’m very active and love getting out and about with the children – swimming, playdates, parks, classes, museums and all kinds of adventures.
I sing most Disney princess songs by heart and can recite the entire Julia Donaldson collection before I’ve had my morning coffee!
I’m always happy to help around the house when needed, and I enjoy cooking healthy meals or batch cooking for the whole family if time allows.
Originally from Hungary, I speak fluent English and have a strong understanding of both German and Portuguese, though I’m a little rusty when it comes to speaking them.
I love the outdoors, photography and anything nature-related – and I come with glowing references and a warm, enthusiastic approach.
I’d love to be part of your family’s journey.

Kate was our Nanny for one day a week for almost two years & since then has become a friend & still comes back to help us. When she joined us, she quickly became indispensable and our two boys absolutely adore her. Just looking at Kate’s CV and other references, you can see that she is the Mary Poppins of the Nanny world and she truly is, we feel so incredibly lucky to have found her and to still be in touch. Kate was never once late and has always been so flexible, helping out with additional babysitting or ad hoc extra days & weekends too. We’ve turned to her for all sorts of parenting advice, guidance & tips and all credit should go to her for potty training our 2.5 year old within a day and then giving us the confidence to keep going & reassuring us that he was ready. Kate is brilliant with children too, striking the perfect balance between play, affection and boundaries when needed. Kate is also an incredible photographer, always capturing the most beautiful pictures of our boys as well as being a creative genius, we often find lots of lovely arts and crafts on the days she has spent with us or delicious baked treats too as well as making dinners/lunches that our boys actually eat! If Kate agrees to work for you, then you are a truly lucky family. She is everything and more that you could ever want from a Nanny. Above all else, Kate cares passionately about what she does and the children she looks after, this is shown by all that she did for us every week without fail.

Kate worked for me as a full-time nanny from April 2009 until October 2013. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Children love her and she is the type of nanny any family would be delighted (and fortunate) to have. For most of the time she looked after my older daughter who was 6 months old when Kate started and just five when she left. Latterly she also looked after my younger daughter too, born June 2013. She is fun, fair, sociable, hard-working, bright, proactive, sensible and utterly reliable. I would not hesitate to reemploy her if I had the chance.
