My family and I are looking to move to Manningtree/Colchester during the summer. I currently work in a local pre school full time, supporting the needs of an autistic child - attending meetings and planning appropriate activities, on a 1:1 basis. I have childcare qualifications aswell as a current DBS and first aid certificate. Also undertaking an Autusm course. I have previously worked in a private daycare nursery, and had experience in a primary school and as a night nanny.
My Experience
I have been a nanny, looking after 3 siblings, and i had to cater for all needs throughout the day. I also was looking after the children overnight when their mother was doing shift work. I was planning indoor/outoor activitiesfor all ages, preparing healthy meals whilst keeping them in the routine their mother was providing. April 2006-Oct 2008.
I have three younger brothers and a younger sister that i helped raise. I enjoyed developng their idividual needs while helping them along the way.
I completed a GCSE award of health and social care i 2005, where i gained two GCSE's. During this time i was able to go dow to the local pre-school to help out and see the running of the place.
At college i completed a cache diploma in childcare and education. every half term i spent two days a week at different childcare settings. some included day nurseries, home placemet with a newborn and at a infant school
From college, i then went on to work with a childcare agency in the local area. I worked in many private daycare settings with children age between 0-5 years.
I then left in 2008 to care for the needs of my daughter. :)
I have had first hand experience with autism, global developmental delay, Down Syndrome.
