Warm, loving, relaxed home from home

Amanda has been looking after my son (3) and daughter (1) for nearly 4 years now and I couldn't imagine leaving them with anyone else. When I went back to work as a teacher when Oscar was 9 months old, I decided that I wanted him to be in an environment that mirrored the normality of a home setting and Amanda's offered exactly this. Amanda is warm, loving and hugely experienced and despite some more challenging behaviour from my son at times, has worked alongside me patiently coming up with strategies and techniques to help him settle and thrive. As a first time mum, amanda's advice and experience has been invaluable and she helped me make the transition back to work smooth and stressfree, safe in the knowledge that my children are in a safe and happy place. I cannot recommend Amanda highly enough.

Warm caring and fun environment

Amanda looked after two of my children. My eldest daughter went to her at 16 months after a few unhappy months at nursery. To start with she was very quiet and shy. Amanda worked really hard with her and in no time she settled in and became a much happier confident child. When I returned to work after having my second child I had no hesitation in leaving my son with her as well.

Amanda takes great care to get to know each of the children well and forms lovely bonds with each of them. She attends toddler groups and other childminders houses so the children have an opportunity to mix with other children.

I left Amanda as I had a third baby and have decided to take a career break. But my children adore her and so we still meet up regularly. She genuinely cares about all the children she looks after and all the children love her!

I would have no hesitation in recommending her as a childminder.

Ofsted may have graded Amanda 'Good', but she is unquestionably an outstanding child-minder. Starting back to work one year after having premature twins was an extremely daunting prospect, but Amanda alleviated all of my worries and concerns by providing a well-structured home, full of warmth and joy. My two boys were always happy to see Amanda in the morning and would frequently cry when it was time to leave at the end of the day! Seeing their reactions to Amanda and the way in which she interacted with them provided me with all of the reassurance I could ask for.

The communication Amanda provides is exceptional. She will always make time to speak about their day, often resulting in Amanda working long over her contracted hours.

If I was not taking a career break, my twins would still be with Amanda as I have complete trust and confidence in her abilities....and the boys absolutely love her!

Warm and loving environment

Amanda has really helped us as a family settle into the new routine of having a childminder. She offers a warm loving family environment which is what we wanted verses a nursery. Her family are very caring and friendly, and our daughter is comfortable around them.
Amanda is honest and shares information of our daughters development, how she is settling in, pre-school feedback, and sleeping and eating habits. As well as any other interests our daughter has shown which keeps us up to date and involved in her day to day life with Amanda.
Amanda is firm but fair, which we love and is always on the end of the phone if you need her or she needs us. She also offer a extremely easy way to follow your child's progress, learning and development plus general activities that that do by a private orbit account which we can view any time which is great to see photos of our daughter at toddler groups or playing in the garden.

We are very fond of Amanda.
