UNRELIABLE

How can you trust somebody who appears to want to look after your toddler but cancels the night before if the parent does not confirm in advance that she has full sole charge of the child?

We require an emergency nanny and this lady bombarded me with emails and questions which I honestly tried to answer despite my busy working full time and looking after my children. We've arranged to meet up, her last question was "Would I have Sole Full Charge...." but iI thought why type everything if we would meet up the next day to discuss? So I replied we'll talk about it tomorrow. Gave her my mobile number in case there are emergencies or she's running late. I took half day off work (am a contractor earning on per day basis) and guess what?!

I received a text after 9PM from this lady saying she is cancelling the application for our emergency requirement as she is not interested if she does not know in advance if she has sole full charge of the child.

This woman wasted my time and money and we still need an emergency childcare.

So frustrating. I guess this is what you get when you come across people who are so full of themselves.

If you are a parent reading this review, I can reassure you that I am not unreliable as Im sure most parents who Ive worked for via the Childcare website would agree.

How can I be so full of myself by just wanting to know some information about a job.

Im sure most professional Nannies on here would agree that there are some main questions that a Nanny would like to know the answers to before applying for a job / attending an interview to know if it would be suitable for them & so not to waste the parents time bearing in mind that there are a lot of jobs on this website.

Like with any professional job ,Im sure others out there would like to know if a job would be suitable for them.As a Nanny, I have to ask beforehand eg: "Do you require a driver"? If the answer is yes, then I would not apply further because I do not drive, "What would the start date be"? September, again, I would not apply further because Im looking to start in May.

It is not my fault that you are a contract worker earning per day basis. You choose your job not me, so no I did not waste your money.

With a text message I received from yourself you said "Nanny means Full Sole Charge of course" The answer to this is that, no, it does not mean that.A Sole Charge Nanny is a Nanny who qualified, capable & allowed to look after your child / children on their own while the parents are out of the home at work or elsewhere. You can have a Nanny as Full Sole Charge Nanny, a Nanny as a Mothers Help, a Nanny as a After School Nanny.

Another message I sent to you asking "Would there be guaranteed work each week" Would it be going to part time / full time"? Your reply was "To be quite honest with you, I am not sure - but I will speak to my partner for more info, he`s the one who needs childcare assistance.

With the bombardment of questions, you emailed / text me a number of times, just as much as I emailed / text you.You could easily of answered my first set of questions to cover all the info that I required in one email / text or it would of been much easier for your partner to have be the one to contact in the first place.
