Hi, I'm Sophie. I am a fun, kind and reliable nanny with excellent time keeping skills. I love taking the children in my care out for muddy puddle walks, to the beach and to local attractions such as farms and museums. I always strive to centre activities around the child's interests and what they enjoy, as well as sharing new experiences with them. One of my favourite parts of the job is being a trusted adult for a child, someone they can share their highs and lows with, knowing they have an extra cheerleader on their team, as well as someone who can reassure them or be firm but fair when needed. Whilst in the home with the children some of my favourite activities are sharing books together, arts and crafts and playing in the garden.
My Experience
12 years childcare experience as a Nursery Nurse, Private Nanny and Childminder.
I started out my career in childcare as an apprentice in a nursery after completing my A levels. At the same time as doing my Level 3 childcare qualification I worked part time as a nanny. After completing my Level 3 I left the nursery and my first nannying job for a full time nannying job, as I loved the quality time nannying allows you to spend with the children and the bond you create with the family. I have recently had a break from nannying and did some ad-hoc agency work in nurseries, and for the last year I have been a self-employed childminder, running my own business from home. I am now looking to return back to nannying as it's where my passion lies.
I have worked for various families over the years with children ranging from 8 months old to 12 years. My duration of employment with families has varied from 1 year to 3+ years and most of the time has ended due to the youngest child starting school, resulting in the family not needing a nanny anymore.
I also have my own sons, one born August 2020, and the other born June 2023, so I have experience as a parent as well as a childcare professional.

My Qualifications
I have a Level 3 qualification in the Children and Young People’s workforce. I am also DBS checked on the update service, and hold an up to date First Aid certificate and Safeguarding certificate.
I am willing to be Ofsted registered and currently hold a certificate for childminding purposes.
I have a full, clean driving licence and my own modern and safe car.
My Availability
I am looking for a live out nanny role within a 30 minute commute from Cowplain, Po8.
I am looking for a role ideally starting in March 2024, as this is when I am looking to return to work after my maternity leave, although I can be flexible with this.
I am happy to work for a family who have pets.
I'm looking for 20-25 hours per week, preferably on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and the ability to bring my youngest with me would be a bonus, but is not essential.

Salary is negotiable depending on role. I deal in gross pay and am looking for an employed position.
