My name is Serpil and I live with my 20 months old daughter and my mum on Marlborough road (close to Bounds green and Bowes park stations)

I take children to parks, play groups and do lots of activities at home as well. Your child will be safe, busy, have home made food. We learn, read, paint, draw, dance, cuddle, respect, talk, count, write, play hide and seek, look at pictures in the book if we can't read we make up stories, we make treasure chest from an empty box !! we don't have naughty step or shout at each other as we are all good and learn what we should do if we make mistakes or hurt our friends.
I accept childcare vouchers and payment by child tax credit etc.
I don't request deposit or payment in advance so you will only be paying for childcare end of every month.
FROM MY RECENT INSPECTION IN MAY 2019;
This provision is GOOD ;
* Effectiveness of leadership and management is good
Safeguarding is effective. The childminder and her assistants have up-to-date knowledge
of safeguarding issues and are aware of the procedures to follow, such as how to report
any concerns if they suspect a child is at risk of harm. The childminder implements clear
policies and procedures to help keep children secure. Children are encouraged to
manage their own risks where necessary. For example, the youngest children are able to
navigate steps in the garden successfully, including signalling for help when they need it.
The childminder understands the legal requirements set out in the early years foundation
stage and ensures these are met at all times. As a result, she is able to accurately
identify any strengths and improvement points for her provision.
*Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The childminder plans exciting activities for children based on their individual interests,
meaning that children learn and progress well. She uses accurate assessments of
children's learning to successfully promote what they need to learn next. The
childminder provides ideas for learning activities that parents can continue at home to
support their children in meeting their expected milestones. For example, she works
closely with parents to help children to take their first steps. Children show a good
understanding of key mathematical concepts such as routines and time. For example,
children know that once they put on their shoes they can go into the garden. Children
are encouraged to take part in activities they are originally hesitant to join in with,
helping them to develop a 'can-do' attitude in their learning.
* Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
The childminder and her assistants carefully plan a daily routine which children eagerly
take part in. Children clearly bond well with the childminder and her assistants due to
the established key-person system. The childminder supports all children to understand
sharing and to control their emotions and behaviour when interacting with other
children. Children are listened to and supported wherever needed, no matter where they
are in their language development. Children are developing a good understanding of
how to manage their own needs. For example, young children are able to put on their
own shoes without adult help.
* Outcomes for children are good
Children are well prepared for school. Where children may need additional support to
achieve, the childminder diligently supports them to progress swiftly in their
development. Where needed, the childminder works alongside other settings to enable
children to have a smooth transition between the two providers. Children successfully
learn about the world around them, happily pointing out features they notice, such as
aeroplanes and birds which they can see and hear above them. Children show care and
affection for others. For example, they pretend dolls are babies in their role play,
affectionately washing them in a 'bath' while correctly naming each body part in turn.

Serpil and her Mum is doing a great job and helped us a lot looking after 2 our girls. Thanks to Serpil and her Mum our eldest daughter now is potty trained. All the best wishes to expand and grow! Many Thanks!!!
My son Aidan was with Serpil from 11 months to nearly 3 and a half (only left after we moved out of London)
She is a fantastic childminder. Very calm and caring but good at setting boundaries too.
The children are always busy and do loads of different things - from crafting to outdoor playing as well as park trips.
Serpil’s mum is lovely with the children and Aidan adored both of them.
Serpil is always happy to work with you on issues you want to tackle - eg dropping naps, improving eating, sharing toys etc.
Serpil was the perfect person to leave Aidan with when I went back to work as a nervous first time mum - so pleased we found her as Aidan settled so quickly and was such a weight off my mind.
Serpil also provides all food and makes excellent healthy lunches and dinners. Was great to know Aidan was eating healthy when there as well as reducing stress of having to sort lunch boxes / make dinner on a work day.
She is also great at keeping on top of the admin - always invoices in a timely way and went above and beyond to help resolve an issue for us with our free childcare hours, despite issue being caused by an error in our application and nothing to do with Serpil.
Her and her mum create a lovely home setting and I was v sad to say goodbye.
My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her time with Serpil, her lovely daughter, and her mum. She was with Serpil for around 2 years and had a lovely group of friends there. It’s a nice, homely environment and she was always excited to go there!
Serpil and her mum looked after my son from just before his first birthday, until he went to nursery at two and a half. He absolutely adored both of them, and we felt confident leaving our child in their care.
I completely agree with the other reviews - Serpil is calm, patient and loving with the children. Our son ate, slept and behaved better at Serpil's than in any other setting.
I wanted to add one more thing. When our nursery plans fell through, Sepril continued to look after our son even though we had officially given her notice. She did this for several months while we looked for another nursery place.
This wasn't the first time that she had saved our skins. On several occasions, she took in our son, sometimes at the last minute, so that my husband or I could deal with some work emergency. We both work full time, and we really appreciated Serpil's flexibility.
Serpil looked after our boy from when he was a year old and she has been incredible throughout. She is incredibly calm, supportive and caring and teaches the children good behaviour and boundaries in a loving and fair way. The children clearly adore her and feel safe and supported in her care.
Serpil was always incredibly supportive in helping us if we were trying to teach our child something and would always explain what she had been doing so we could all be consistent.
We have all grown to love Serpil and her mum - they feel like an extension of our family!
