An exceptional and reliable nanny

Reviewed

I have known Paula since September 2012 when she became the nanny of our daughter Maya, who was just 1 year old at the time. Since then Paula has become a part of our family. She is truly professional, dedicated to her duties, and most importantly, she loves what she does and does it with ease. Our family is now relocating outside the UK and this is why Paula has to find another family. Paula is a fantastic person and I am strongly supporting her application. Since she started looking after Maya, my child was always happy, engaged and she learned so many new things and words, all thanks to Paula’s careful planning of activities and daily routines. This is an exceptional nanny!

Paula did 3 full days (8am to 6pm) and 2 half days (8am to 12.30pm) with our family, working a total of 39 hours a week. She is very experienced and punctual. In addition to looking after Maya, Paula always helped around the house without being asked. She did the washing and some cleaning. She cooked tasty meals for the whole family and always left our home clean and tidy. Paula’s experience has been precious to us, as she knows what to do in every situation. My daughter Maya required additional attention as she has numerous food allergies. Paula was not only considerate of the fact, but she always tried to help out. I left Maya with Paula without worrying about my child. Even when I was at work I knew that Maya would be really well looked after. This was indeed the case. My daughter is a happy child and this is largely due to Paula’s care and attention.

Paula is a very polite person. She has never been arrogant or highly opinionated with us. She is easily adaptable and a pleasure to be around with. She knows so many activities and playgroups around Ealing and we have definitely benefitted from her experience in the area. She has never been late for work and she has always been there for our child. To be honest, I consider myself lucky to have had Paula as our nanny. Such people are so difficult to find. Regardless of the problems we have had to deal with Paula has always been confident, reassuring and down to earth. She is very calm and she can deal with various issues without panicking or losing control.

I recommend Paula as she is really serious about her duties. She is so well-organised that she makes childcare look easy and effortless. Any parent knows this is not always the case. She has helped us as a family in difficult situations when Maya was ill or not feeling well, when we had sleepless nights and when we needed this extra reassurance that we were doing things right as parents. She has taken Maya to playgroups, libraries and all the local parks, organized play dates, prepared her breakfast, lunch and dinner, looked after all her toys and clothes, organized and did the shopping, suggested activities for the whole family at weekends and many, many more. I am sure that once you interview Paula you will understand what an experienced and dedicated person she is.

Childcare is one of most important aspects in the life of a family. Good childcare is nowadays very difficult to find. When we interviewed Paula she was much better than all the other candidates we had. I saw in her a very trustworthy person, who was considerate and reliable. Now, a year later, I can only confirm that my first impression was right. Even more, Paula demonstrated skills that I never thought I’d see in anyone who was not part of my immediate family. She has looked after my child to her best abilities and it has paid off. It was definitely worth choosing Paula for our nanny. And I am really sorry that we will have to part with such a dedicated and loving nanny. Whoever employs her next will only benefit from such an experienced and confident person, who puts children and their needs first. Most importantly, she always informs you the parent of what she plans to do and then reports to you as to how your child behaved.
