At Noreen's Little Explorers the welfare and well being of the children placed in our care is of paramount importance. Great care is taken to provide a safe secure and stimulating environment which will allow your child to develop confidence, independence and good social skills in what will become their second home.

SETTINGS
The premises is a large six bedroom family home located on Little Sutton Lane, Langley SL3 8AN. The property is a character home with historic value, featuring many original and authentic features that contribute to a calm, welcoming and homely environment. It is situated on a private road in a very quiet and peaceful location, providing a safe and nurturing setting that is well suited to young children. Despite its secluded feel, the premises remains conveniently located with easy access to Langley High Street, Slough High Street, Colnbrook, Iver and surrounding local areas.

The property benefits from generous front and rear outdoor space that supports both children’s safety and learning. The front garden includes a large grassy area and a spacious driveway offering ample parking for multiple vehicles. Internally, the home is warm, well maintained and thoughtfully organised to meet the needs of children at different stages of development. Children have access to a dedicated indoor playroom, a dining area used for meals and structured activities, and a comfortable living space that supports free play, social interaction and group learning. A quiet sleeping area is located upstairs, providing a calm rest environment with countryside views. From this area, children can safely observe horses in nearby fields beyond the property boundary, offering a peaceful and engaging connection with the natural surroundings.

The rear garden provides an extensive and well established outdoor learning environment, surrounded by mature apple trees and grape vines. This natural setting offers rich opportunities for children to explore nature and experience seasonal change. A koi pond forms part of the outdoor environment and is fully secured with strong black metal fencing to ensure children’s safety at all times. With close supervision, children are able to take part in age appropriate activities such as feeding the fish, supporting early learning around responsibility, care for living things and respect for the natural world. The large garden also offers ample space for physical activity, outdoor play and exploration using a range of suitable outdoor equipment.

The premises is fully secured with CCTV and an alarm system, with clear safeguarding measures in place to ensure the safety, security and wellbeing of all children attending the setting.

We aim to provide a careful balance between care, play and learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. We strongly believe that skills developed during early childhood form a strong foundation for future learning and personal development. Each child is valued as an individual and supported in developing confidence, independence and positive relationships. We actively promote respect for others through a strong emphasis on self discipline, good manners and age appropriate behaviour within a warm, inclusive and nurturing environment.

Safeguarding is a key priority within the setting. The premises is fully secured with CCTV and an alarm system, and all areas used by children are regularly risk assessed to ensure they remain safe and suitable. Children are always supervised appropriately, both indoors and outdoors, and clear procedures are in place to promote their safety, wellbeing and emotional security at all times. The environment is organised to support safe play, rest and learning, ensuring children feel confident, protected and cared for throughout the day.

Learning within the setting is supported through a balance of structured activities and child led play, both indoors and outdoors. The environment is carefully planned to encourage curiosity, exploration and independence, supporting children’s development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Opportunities for learning are naturally embedded into daily routines, play experiences and interaction, including outdoor exploration, care for living things and engagement with the natural environment. This approach helps children develop key skills such as communication, problem solving, confidence and social awareness in a meaningful and enjoyable way.

Little about me

Driven by compassion as an adept child care provider, I have a well rounded skill set in early childhood development and honed talents in lesson planned development and age-appropriate development, making me a ideal child care provider.
Having a full time cleaner on site gives me the opportunity to provide undivided attention to all my children.

From 2012 of experience from being a qualified child minder which has been a joy has naturally given me the ability to strengthen my capabilities such as

I have delivered child care support to numerous families from numerous backgrounds over the past twelve years in various capacities including children with special needs, using my patient and fun-loving nature to earn children’s and parents’trust and build long-standing relationships. Additionally, I have key experience helping young children through separation anxiety situations, using distraction and refocussing techniques to help kids through those tough emotions.

A few highlights of my experience include:

Teaching children about various health and personal habits, including eating, resting, and toilet training.
Reading to children and leading them in diverse activities such as arts and crafts, songs, and outdoor play.

All our children thrive in a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment and are encouraged to undertake a wide range of activities.
