Kelly is the person you want to look after your child. Kelly is the most kind, caring, patient, engaging and fun childminder to our daughter. Our daughter built an incredible relationship with Kelly from the very start which had only grown with each day they are together. Kelly takes the time allowing children to discuss or communicate in some way their inner most thoughts regardless the size and ensures they’re heard. My daughter has been in Kelly’s care full time since October 2022 and we have noticed a huge leap in her development due to the activities Kelly takes her to or has planned either within the home or on their daily walks to the park, woodland, or local library as they are constantly learning on the go. I always recommend Kelly to any other parents as I couldn’t fault any part of Kelly’s care whatsoever.

Absolutely fantastic

My child has been in Kelly’s care for 2 years. He has absolutely loved attending and has improved so much in every aspect. Kelly has really helped in getting my child ready for school and he is really sad to leave his old setting.
Kelly has excellent communication skills both verbally and via WhatsApp. She constantly sends photos of what the children are involved in daily and how they’re getting on. It’s a pleasure to chat to Kelly at pick up and listen to the stories of what’s been going on.
Kelly covers all subjects and topics with the children throughout the year and this really helps with keeping the children interested and entertained.
My child has enjoyed all the walks and little trips that he has been involved in with Kelly over the time he has spent with her and he speaks extremely high of her when at home.
Keep doing what you’re doing Kelly, the children love you.

A Childminder that feels like family.

Kelly is one of the kindest and sweetest people you could ever meet. She cares so much about every child she looks after and is 100% committed to their happiness, their well-being and their development. I will always be indebted to Kelly for how she looked after my daughters when I was seriously ill. Knowing they were being so well cared for before and after school was a huge relief. For above and beyond and for keeping your child at the centre of all she does - Kelly is the best.

Outstanding childminder

Our children Noah and Stella Heinze Gerrard have been in Kelly's care since our
move to Wigan from Devon in September 2019. Moving across the country was a
stressful time for the whole family and we cannot be thankful enough for the
kind, positive and loving care Kelly is giving our children.
Noah and Stella have both formed a strong bond with Kelly which means that
drop offs in the morning are stress free for me as they like going to Kelly's house especially now that they have their little friend Woody (the dog) there too.
Even if they are tears they are dried quickly and I will get a message saying that
they are fine and happy a little while later. Kelly has shown great flexibility both
in the mornings when I have to drop Noah and Stella off at 7.15am and when I
run late to pick them up. As our childcare needs have changed with Noah and Stella now
going to school, it is impossible to imagine
not having them both at Kelly's for wrap around care. I hope that
this will continue until both are in primary school.

Communication
Kelly has excellent communication skills and is keen to ensure that the
information provided is not only relevant and sufficient but also in a format that
is suitable. In addition Kelly promotes two way communication and ensures that
there is suitable time to raise any concerns or questions. She takes an individual
approach to our children’s' care encourages us to share both significant and
insignificant things that have occurred in our son and daughter’s life using the
daily diary. Kelly is also happy to communicate with both Stella and Noah's
school which gives me confidence as I am unable to drop them off or pick them up.

Quality of Care
There is an excellent level of individual care provided throughout our children's
time with Kelly and we really appreciate her kind, fair and structured approach
to Stella and Noah's care. Both Noah and Stella are strong minded individuals
who have their individual quirks but who have responded very well to Kelly's
positive and patient ways. I am always amazed how she is able to refocus Noah's
attention to something he likes to do in order to avoid a meltdown, especially in
the mornings at drop off.
Noah and Stella are growing up with me speaking German to them at home
which is difficult at times as dad does not. Kelly has always gone out of her way
to celebrate any traditional holidays such as St Nikolaus day and incorporate
them in activities. Kelly often asks me to bring in books in German, based on the
season, so that she can read them with Noah and Stella which is something I very
much appreciate. It is difficult to bring up children speaking two languages and
her support has meant that both Noah and Stella have developed a much better
awareness and familiarity of their second language.

Working with parents
Kelly is keen to maintain continuity of care for Noah and Stella. I feel that I know
exactly what is going on and Kelly is brilliant and asking how we approach things
such as discipline (eg time out), introducing new food etc. She is supportive of us as parents and the children
when change happens.
Kelly strives to gain the information needed to do this, always informing me of
the outcome and checking I am happy with the way things are being handled.
Noah and Stella's grandparents are also involved in some of their care and it fills
me with confidence that they also hold Kelly in high regard.
When discipline is an issue which is has been at times with Noah and Stella, Kelly has always ensured that we are fully informed of the events and the consequence to the behaviour displayed.
What I personally like is that Kelly takes a positive approach to behaviour
management and looks for solutions. Noah has learned very much from this
approach and is now able to take turns and understands more how is action
effect the people around him.
On a personal level Kelly is very professional and yet always approachable. We
feel very fortunate to have found her and for her to be involved with our children
at such a formative age when we are not able to be there do to work
commitments.

Fabulous childminder

Kelly has looked after my little boy joe since he was 9 months old. He absolutely adored going to Kelly’s every day as he was always learning and exploring new things . He has remained good friends with the other children he met in his time there. Joe still asks me when he is going to Kelly’s again even though he’s Started school. Sending my children to Kelly was the best decision I’ve ever made and I would highly recommend her

Outstanding Amazing Fantastic childminder!

Kelly is literally outstanding! My little boy has spent 2 years with Kelly until he has just started school. If you would want a childminder who will nurture and care for your children like you do then Kelly is definitely the one. My little boy has developed so much since being with Kelly and he absolutely adores her. As a parent I could not have asked for any more, he brought home a daily diary so I knew what activities he was doing during the day and also what he was eating, I also received regular updates from Kelly which made me feel so at ease when leaving my little boy. I am so grateful for all the time that Kelly invested in my son, she welcomed him into her home like one of the family and this is something that I’m sure every parent would want. Thankyou Kelly! I would 1000% recommend you to everyone!

Outstanding childminder

My son has been coming to Kelly for nearly 2 years. Kelly helped the transition from full time mum back to working mum go very smoothly, sending me updates to reassure me regularly.
My son has developed into a bright fun confident little boy. We have a book updating us as to his daily escapades and development. He comes home with regular pictures and creative items.
My son has been welcomed by the whole family and is one of them. He enjoys the time, patience and interaction they show him. He loves going to Kelly's.
I can't recommend her enough. She's priceless.
And she's recently achieved OUTSTANDING in OFSTED, and we totally agree.

Fantastic Childcare

When my mum was diagnosed with an illness leaving her unable to look after my daughter while I worked, I was recommended Kelly by a number of people. It turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. My daughter Eva was quite a timid child and didn't settle in a nursery and being with Kelly has brought her confidence and development on so much. Going to Kelly's is like being home from home. She has come on leaps and bounds in the 6 months she has been there. We have a daily diary so I know exactly what she has been doing each day. Eva has lots of fun with the other lovely children that Kelly looks after and is always bringing me home little pictures and gifts that they have been creating. They go to toddler groups so I'm happy that Eva gets to play with other children too. Me and Eva can't recommend Kelly highly enough. She is the best influence that I could ever want for my daughters start in life.
