Marcia is a brilliant childminder. I would recommend her without any hesitation.
Our daughter was with Marcia for 4 days a week from a 1 year old until she was 3, when she went to pre-school. I am so glad that we chose Marcia to be her childminder. Marcia really cares for the children under her care. I was impressed with the way she communicated with all the children in her care and myself as a parent.
Marcia puts a lot of effort into planning activities and recording stages of development, this compares favourably with the nursery where my daughter is now. She created a wonderful environment for the children in her care where they are all aware of themselves and the affect they have on others, particularly the older ones for the younger ones. When my daughter was first to Marcia she was the youngest and latterly she was one of the eldest. This has helped in my daughter's development and how she is able to interact with different children of different ages.
We originally visited a few different childminders and Marcia, on first impressions, was the best. She surpassed my expectations on that original visit because she is a great communicator and has a brilliant connection with the children.
When you chose a childminder it is a really important decision. I feel very lucky that we found Marcia.
By way of illustration, there was a very short period when my daughter was the only child that Marcia was looking after. During that time Marcia took our daughter to the botanical garden and on a separate occasion to the zoo.
If Marcia has enough space to look after your child you should consider yourself very lucky.

My partner and I hired Marcia to look after our 1.5 years old son for 3 days a week for one year. From the very beginning, we were very impressed by how professional Marcia is. We also liked a lot her flexibility, friendliness and attention to detail. Her house is full of high-quality toys and our son enjoyed a lot playing with them. Her garden is also great, with plenty of space, a trampoline, tricycles and many other things. My son did numerous art projects at her place and at pick-up time, Marcia always gave us a detailed summary of our son's activities during the day.
At the beginning of the covid pandemic, our son had to stay home for about two months when nurseries and childminders were forced to close. During this time, he constantly missed not being able to spend time with Marcia and his playmates. Whenever we were having our daily walks close to Marcia's house, he wanted to go there to see Marcia and the other kids.
We cannot recommend her enough

We feel so fortunate to met Marcia, we couldn't have asked more!
When I came back to work she looked after our seven-months-old daughter, and she has been since then. Along this almost three years, Marcia has demonstrated her skills and high value as a childminder. She not only cares about the happiness of my daughter but also about her learning and development.
Marcia takes the kids for walks along the river, playgroups, zoo, softplay , etc and, in hot weather, she puts the swimmingpool out in her garden! When we pick up our daughter she always gives us a good account of her little adventures. Her house is clean and childproof, with a great big garden with lots of things to play with.
You can easily tell that she really cares and has a wide experience looking after children
