Outstanding child minder

Louise and her fabulous assistant (also a qualified child minder) have helped to restore my (and my husbands) faith in the child minding profession. Following quite a neglectful experience with my first child minder, I had to break away from my teacher training to take care of my daughter full time. After a couple of months, I decided to relook at local childminders and that's when I stumbled across Louise....to which I have not looked back since!

Louise is the most open and honest person I know, right from the start her main priority was making sure the care that would be provided to our daughter was right for her and us as a family. Louise listened and understood all our concerns about childcare and repeatedly put my mind at rest with her

Louise provides a calm, relaxed and safe environment where the children in her care can grow and prosper to their full potential. Right from the start Louise was supportive of the objectives I wanted to achieve with my daughter, at the time of starting my daughter was 16 months old and refused to eat nothing but jar food (causing big problems for us as a family - this issue mainly caused by first childminder refusing to give her food which wasn't from a jar). Louise agreed to help support us in our goal to get her to eat normally, now aged 2 she eats everything placed in front of her and life is so much easier! This is all down to the hard work Louise and her assistant, Tracey have put into my daughters eating plan!! My daughter attachment to her dummy is also no more, she now only has it night time and during the day she is dummy free. Again this is down to the determination of Louise and Tracey :)

As a trainee teacher, I needed flexibility in my child care. Louise accommodates more than enough for this. admittedly my daughter has 'set' hours but Louise has had to repeatedly had to keep my daughter when things crop up at school. Again this is never a problem for her. Louise is also flexible in payment, instead of charging per half term like most child minders, she works out the cost for the school year and then divides it over the whole year which helps to split and even out payments which is so much better for family finances.

Overall I could easily reiterate all of the above review as well. Louise's house has a warm and loving feeling, it is well equipped for learning and playing. Plenty of toys and activities for the children to do. The children all eat together like a little family as well, helping to ensue good table manners in the little ones.

I can honestly say Louise has turned our opinion of childcare around, and I will certainly not be changing my childcare until my daughter goes into school where I'll be forced to hand my daughter over to some one other than Louise who is just wonderful with her! If you are reading this, then stop and look no further as Louise is exactly who you want :-)

Excellent Childminder.

Hi, I'm Nicola a registered nurse with two children age nine and twelve. Louise provided childcare for my two children since they were three and six throughout my nurse training which I would not have been able to complete without such a flexible childminder.

Louise provides a safe, secure, warm and caring environment for children encouraging them to be themselves, respect themselves and respect those around them. The children interact well together as a result of this. The care is provided from Louise's own home which my children preferred to the less homely environment of after school clubs and such like.

The house is large with a conservatory which serves as a play area, a large kitchen where the children eat their meals, engage in cooking activities and messy play such as painting and picture making. The kitchen area is also used for a period of time each day as a quiet area for the children to do their homework. There is also a large lounge area for the children to sit down, rest and watch television. In addition there is an outdoor area with some toys for the children to play with.

Louise leads a team of well trained childcare staff who all work well together to support and care for the children. My children absolutely loved going to Louise's and as a working mum she provided them with the next best thing to home. As a result of this me and the children were really disappointed when I moved out of area and had to change childminder. Although at one point I did consider paying extortionate fees for a taxi to pick my children up and take them to Louise's after school as I was unable to find childcare so good in my new area.

The children loved being there because there was always a choice of activities and they were always listened to and treated very well. I liked them going there for that reason and the peace of mind. Louise is flexible and very easy to talk to about any issue which meant that childcare which can sometimes be a stressful thing was just never stressful for me.

I would highly recommend Louise and strongly advise going for a visit to see the lovely homely, caring, fun and educational environment that she provides.
