Outstanding, personalised care

Finding Zoe allowed the children to transition smoothly as our family settled into a new area and we adjusted to both parents in full time work. She puts an incredible amount of care into planning activities for the children which are suited to their interests and designed to stretch their abilities, and we will be sending our son to school in September having spent two years in Zoe's care knowing that he is academically and socially totally prepared for the change (the children have a livelier social life than us!) They have a variation of indoor and outdoor activities, phonics and numbers work, music, cooking and attend local groups. They have especially loved getting out into Zoe's garden and the surrounding area and learning about nature together. The children have personalised learning journeys that we can view to see what they have been up to.

We chose to keep the children with Zoe beyond their initial care and into their 15 allocated hours because of this flexibility and personalised care. This has really allowed them to flourish and our whole family would wholeheartedly recommend Zoe.

Outstanding

My husband and I are both teachers so ‘Outstanding’ is not a term we use lightly. That is the only way we can describe the care that Zoe has provided for our son over the last year. At the very end of the academic year our childcare fell through and having worked in school partnership with Zoe she was our first port of call for advice. Never did we imagine that she would have a space for our son. Zoe’s settling in sessions were fantastic as our son can be very shy, but he took to her straight away. As a teacher I do have very high standards and Zoe has met these and some, providing both care and supporting his academic development. We felt as though Zoe knew our son inside and out and provided fantastically for his interests and ability. Zoe always goes over and above for her minded children and their parents! Whilst my son was in her care I was heavily pregnant and had my second child. Zoe couldn’t have been more helpful, she changed hours, pick up times and places all to make life easier for us! She based a huge amount of their time together on new babies; this was fantastic as it really helped him in accepting his new sister. She has also been extremely supportive during my son’s transition into school. She organised a school visit so he could show her around, it helped his confidence massively and he loved every minute. My son also struggled with a stammer, Zoe has worked alongside us to support him, even offering to take him to a speech and language drop in session. For me there is no better seal of approval than your child coming home saying ‘I can’t wait to go back to Zoe’s tomorrow!’ Zoe’s home and family are so very caring and inviting, I would highly recommend Zoe to anyone needing a loving environment for their child, mine still talks about her every day! :)

Amazing

I have two children who are aged 4 and 9 who have been cared for by Zoe for the last two years, After maternity leave I did not want to go back to work because there was no body I would trust more than myself to look after my little girl, having been to various mother and baby groups I saw Zoe there every week with her childminding children and I witnessed how fantastic she was with the children, I saw first hand how caring and loving she was and knew straight away I could trust this lady with my little girl.
When Zoe had a position become available I quickly snapped her up and have never regretted my decision to let my children be in Zoe's care!
My daughter starting going with Zoe when she had only just turned two and still very young and having only ever been with myself I thought she would be very unsettled when I returned to work, but Zoe was fantastic and helped make the transition so much easier both for myself and my daughter - I used to worry so much but she would keep me updated with texts and picture messages which I loved!
My daughter has come on leaps and bounds over the last two years of course all children do, but I have Zoe to thank for a lot of that, Zoe also has an amazing family her husband and children are also so happy and welcoming.
Zoe has always been so understanding, caring, helpful and has never let me down in my hour of need!
My daughter is always coming home with different things she has done at Zoe's, and always talks so fondly of Zoe and her family, my daughter speaks about Zoe every single day saying how much she loves her and she will miss her when she goes to 'big school' for me that speaks volumes!
When my daughters dad went to Afghanistan last year it was a very tough time for her being only 3 she didn't understand and became a little unsettled, Zoe was fantastic helping my daughter write letters to her Daddy and send pictures and just being reassured by someone other than mummy helped my little girl so much.
I can not say anymore about how fantastic Zoe is, personally I wouldn't leave my children in anyone else's care. X

Being a typical first time mother, I was dreading going back to work and leaving my baby in a nursery, so I decided on a childminder as the home setting appealed to me. After hearing many fantastic reviews about Zoe, I was lucky enough to secure a place for my daughter several months before I went back to work. The settling in sessions were a comfort, although I was slightly disappointed that my daughter wasn't bothered that I left her with Zoe, and was even less interested in leaving with me at the end of the sessions! In the 6 months since my daughter started spending 4 days a week at Zoe's, she has become a very sociable little girl who is never shy and I believe this is due to the amount of interaction with other children that Zoe encourages. There is barely a day that I arrive to collect my daughter that they haven't been somewhere or done something interesting and new, and whenever my daughter has learned something new Zoe is always very enthusiastic and proud of her achievements, she genuinely cares about the children she looks after. Another great thing that Zoe does is the Orbit website, or 'baby facebook' as we call it. It's a private, invitation only site where Zoe can share pictures and comments on your child and you can do the same- a great way of being involved in their day to day activities. I can honestly say that there is not one thing I would change about Zoe's setting. Finally, her husband and her children are lovely, and always warmly welcome my daughter into their home and love playing with her. If you are considering sending your child to a childminder, you'd struggle to find one that comes close to comparing to Zoe.
