Nanny

Luca began working with us in June 2018 and immediately impressed our household with her enthusiasm, breath of knowledge (about a whole range of topics, as well as childcare!) and love of animals. She looked after my son (then 14 months old) part time five days a week, and soon adapted to our household and his needs. She was punctual, well-presented and very organised, as well as being reliable, which is a winning combination in a nanny. Whilst working with us she took my son out regularly to the park, play space and playgroups, and made extra effort to locate local activities that he would be interested in. She seemed confident meeting his age-appropriate needs (nappies, milk, etc) and was willing to pitch in occasionally to help with additional tasks (such as folding baby’s washing) which I really appreciated. Luca tried hard in all her work, was often researching issues relevant to his care and helped us establish a better nap routine, which proved successful. She always tidied up at the end of the day, was very clean and thoughtful (for example, offering to cook for the baby) and my teenager thought she was very ‘cool’, which helped!

Luca is considering one day establishing her own childminding business, and I am fully confident that she will be a brilliant childminder. Older children especially could really benefit from her knowledge of different topics, and her clear way of explaining things, and I wish her the best of luck in her future career.

Trustworthy, creative and flexible

Luca has been the first nanny for my son, Gruia, from his first year until the age of four. I am happy she relocated to Bristol because it is a great place to live but I was quite sad too because she won't be here to take such great care of my son as before.

I have started to feel very relaxed when Luca was taking care of Gruia after I have noticed qualities such as discipline, punctuality, enthusiasm, preparation, interaction and communication.

As a qualified teacher myself, I trusted Luca to stimulate my son through play, arts, crafts and reading and she has impressed me with her educational knowledge, patience and tenacity.

She has a passion for science,maths as well as the English language which can be very valuable if your child needs any support with their homework.

She is also an amazing cook and can whip up healthy meals for the little ones.

Luca has managed to be sensitive to the needs of my child, giving him lots of attention and affection but also managing to be consistent and authoritative to ensure he will follow the rules and listens to what is required of him.

Luca has been a joy to know and we will always be very grateful and thankful to her.
