Charlotte was the only childminder we visited, as after meeting her we didn't feel the need to continue searching! We were struck straightaway by her warmth and authenticity, and it was clear that she loves looking after children and seeing them develop. Charlotte is a complete natural, she seems to instinctively know the right approach to any situation, and deals with any tantrums and general toddler behaviour in a calm manner, making expectations clear yet keeping the tone lighthearted.
She is very reliable, and excellent with our daughter's allergies, always looking for products that our daughter could eat, including several we hadn't tried before! Her home is a caring and safe environment, and it was great that our daughter could also get experience with pets, as Charlotte has a lovely dog.
Our daughter has been looked after by Charlotte for two years, and looked forward so much to her visits, particularly when she could have Charlotte to herself! Sadly moving onto the next milestone has meant that we cannot keep her as a childminder, however undoubtedly we will keep in touch and our daughter's absence creates space for other lucky little ones!

Charlotte has been a fairy godmother to my family. Her home is full of love, laughs and cuddles- she has given my small boy all the tender care I could wish for in the 15 months he has been with her. Her capable cheerfulness has been a blessing on the days that I've struggled with my three under-fives!
Her first concern is always the children, but Charlotte is excellent at settling parents too. She patiently gave us all the time we needed to settle our son in gently, welcoming us into her home until he was happy to stay without us. She can be completely relied upon to notify us immediately if he is struggling or poorly. Charlotte takes the time to have a cup of tea with us just to have a chat about how he's getting on.
Through her, our son made new friends at playgroup, on farm visits, and with her own little boy. He has experienced having a pet and spending time with both older and younger children. He managed to continue his afternoon naps, and even successfully potty trained with Charlotte's help.
Charlotte is completely reliable- she always gives loads of notice for holidays or appointments etc. She has been a fantastic back up for school holiday care and the occasional emergency. I have total confidence in her commitment to caring for my children, and we leave her only to start a new era at preschool. We plan to return for holiday playdates- she is simply too good to lose and we would miss her too much!

Charlotte is an excellent childminder. She looked after my 1-year old son when I returned to work. She is trustworthy, hard-working, and takes her work seriously. This is a person that does nothing half-heartedly, and this includes looking after children.
Most notable is the way in which Charlotte interacts with children. It is obvious that she enjoys working and playing with children. She has an incredible sense of humour which enables her to entertain children and to deal with stressful situations with ease. At the same time she is highly professional and able to teach children what is right and what is wrong in a kind way. An empathetic character, she will always do her best to ensure that a child’s emotional needs are met, whether this be the shiest or the liveliest one in room.
I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Charlotte as a childminder. My greatest thank you. I say this not only as an employer, but also as a friend.
