More Than a Childminder

Returning to full-time work in November 2025 was one of the hardest transitions I have faced as a mother. From the moment my son was born in November 2024, I knew that choosing the right childcare would be one of the most important decisions of my life. As a first-time mother, the thought of leaving my baby five days a week filled me with anxiety, fear, and countless questions. I wanted more than just childcare. I wanted someone who would love my son, understand him, respect his rhythm, and care for him as if he were their own.

Initially, I focused my search on nurseries, thinking that a larger environment might be best for socialisation. But everything changed the moment I came across TeeCee’s profile. Seeing that she is bilingual in French and English immediately spoke to my heart. Raising my son in a bilingual environment is extremely important to me, not only for language development but also for identity, culture, and emotional expression. From our very first exchange, I felt a sense of peace and trust that is hard to put into words.

Meeting TeeCee confirmed everything I felt. There was no hesitation, no doubt, she was the person I wanted to care for my son. She is a truly exceptional woman: warm, gentle, patient, and deeply knowledgeable. From day one, she welcomed us with so much kindness and made us feel completely at home. She took the time to understand my son, to learn his needs, his habits, and his little personality, and she supported his transition with so much love and care.

The bilingual experience TeeCee offers has been incredibly special for us. My son is immersed naturally in both French and English, in a way that feels effortless and joyful. In just two months, his speech has developed beautifully in both languages, and his confidence has grown so much. Watching him understand, respond, and express himself in two languages at such a young age has been deeply moving for me as a mother.

Beyond his language development, the progress my son has made overall is remarkable. His motor skills have improved significantly, his curiosity has blossomed, and he is happier, more confident, and more secure. Today, he genuinely loves going to TeeCee. He looks for her when he is with me, calls her name, and is always excited to see her. That alone tells me everything I need to know.

TeeCee goes far beyond what you would ever expect from a childminder. She is flexible, open-minded, and always willing to support parents, even at short notice. She listens, reassures, and works in true partnership with families. Her care is not just professional it is deeply human.

For us, TeeCee is no longer just a childminder; she has become part of our family. Entrusting her with my son has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am endlessly grateful for her love, her patience, and her dedication. Any family lucky enough to have TeeCee care for their child will truly be blessed.

Peace of Mind Every Drop-Off – Teecee is Amazing
I always feel completely at ease leaving my daughter with Teecee. From the moment we arrive, she makes her feel comfortable, safe, and happy. Teecee is so warm, patient, and genuinely caring—our little one instantly bonds with her every time.

She’s incredibly reliable and flexible, always accommodating our schedule and communicating clearly about the day. It’s obvious she loves what she does, and she pays attention to every little detail to make sure my daughter is happy and well cared for.

Knowing that my daughter is in such loving hands makes drop-offs stress-free and gives me total peace of mind. I couldn’t recommend Teecee highly enough to any parent looking for a trustworthy, caring, and amazing babysitter

Means well :)

Teecee is a very kind, understanding person who really helped us look after our 5 month old when we needed it (around 4/5 days over 3/4 weeks). She accommodated last minute bookings and communicated well. I forgot nappies and there was no complaints about her having to go get some (and be reimbursed). She showed love to our baby. Home was very clean, tidy and warm.

On the other side of this, our baby came home with heat rash after being put to sleep inside in a pram suit. Tv was always on at pick up and drop off and she came home with a red bum. I don’t believe any of this was intentional at all and I did provide clearer instructions after these instances but didn’t feel like they were all completely met. This is my first baby so I am more protective but I’m also in the childcare area of work myself so I have a lot of understanding on how things can get forgotten. The bus to get home at the end of the day (328) was also very irregular and busy and it made a 20min journey home, an hour journey. After all of the above we just weren’t 100% confident leaving our baby there and we have now hired a nanny instead.

Overall Teecee has great intentions and shows a lot of love but needs parents that will be more upfront and clearer about what’s ok and what’s not rather than it being hidden in a message such as “we notice she runs hot so doesn’t need many layers on inside” as it wasn’t understood and came home with heat rash again.

Thank you for your feedback. It was a pleasure caring for your little one and being able to support your family when childcare was urgently needed.

I am really surprised to read some of the concerns mentioned, as they were not raised with me during care. I always follow the guidance given by parents to ensure each child’s comfort; any preferences you did share were carefully followed and adjusted once mentioned.

Open and honest communication is very important to me. Every child is unique, and I value working closely with parents to provide the best care possible. I always welcome clear feedback so that I can adapt accordingly.

I’m glad you found my home clean, loving, and welcoming, and I wish you and your family all the best moving forward.
