Hi my name is Jen. I live in Richmond, North Yorkshire with my Hubbie, daughter & Cockapoo. I come from a huge extended family I’m the eldest of 5 for as long as I can recall I have cared for children in an informal capacity. I took a career break from my career in nursing to become a stay at home mum. When my daughter was 7 years old & settled into primary school I decided I’d like to return to work. I wanted a role that would fit around my daughter but would also give me job satisfaction. I love the role of nurturing children so I decided the role of a Nanny would be perfect.
My Experience
My first role as a Nanny is coming to an end as the little one is ready for Pre-school. The little one was 9 months old when I became her Nanny. I was with the family for 16 months. They have asked if I’m available when needed for to cover holidays which indicates they have been satisfied with my care. I’ve always planned activities weekly, following the child’s interests too. I maintained all the child’s hygiene needs. I prepared healthy meal & snacks. I pay for the DBS up date service. My current employer would be more than happy to provide a reference too.
I’ve gained a position in a local school as a technician as this is term time only I’m available in school holidays and I’m keen to occasionally still be employed in the role as a Nanny.
My Qualifications
I’ve allowed my NMC registration to lapse but I was a registered nurse. I’ve got a valid paediatric first aid certificate.

Jen was brilliant with our 2 year old boy. She looked after him while we were at a wedding and as soon as she came through the door she put our mind at ease, by bonding with our boy. She got on so well with our little boy and he was full of smiles and laughter when we returned. Her calm, warm approach meant that we instantly trusted her with our child. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. She was lovely!
