As a first time mum, i decided to return to work after my daughter's first year was over . It was important that i found childcare quickly but also someone who i felt comfortable leaving my daughter with . I was lucky enough to find Vicky and blessed that she had a space . I went to see her to talk about what i expected , what she provided and what Evie would gain from the experience. My first impressions were of a warm , easygoing and very open person , i liked Vicky immediately . Her home was tidy and clean yet had a warmth to it also. Evie and Vicky hit it off immediately , my daughter had no tears being left with her and they developed a bond straight away , in effect Vicky became an extension of me, Vicky cared for Evie for 14mths until i was made redundant just before Xmas, and i have to say in those 14months , Evie's confidence grew rapidly she was always at playgroups or at the park or doing something in Vicky's to stimulate her creativity and she was around other kids a lot so her socialisation skills are amazing now . The most beautiful thing was how much part of the family she became , as i said Vicky has a very inviting home , but it is the time , attention and care that Evie received from Vicky and her family that i feel she has benefited from the most . What was really lovely was how Vicky involved me in Evie's day as well , i always knew where she was or if she learned a new word or any of those 'first' moments parents sometimes miss out on , i got drawings , photos etc so i never felt like i was missing out completely. I have no hesitation in recommending Victoria and am quite happy to answer any questions for anyone , for i do believe any parent would feel lucky to have their child in her care :-)
