My Summary

My Experience

Whilst carrying out my Diploma in Childcare I gained experience 44 days experience in a day nursery working with children from 4 months to 4 years. Here I had to clean and change nappies and bottles and feed the children. I also had to set up a variety of activities for all ages to engage in such as painting and junk modelling. I then went onto to a primary school placement where I worked alongside staff in the Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classroom.

I then went on to university where I have undergone placements in a Reception, Year 1 and Year 3 class where I took on the role as the class teacher setting up activities and developing the children's learning in all areas.

Whilst at university I also took up a job as a nanny for two days a week working with children ages 4 and 6. I started at work at 7.15 and finished at 6. My roles included getting the children up, feeding them, getting them ready for school and taking them to school. Whilst they were at school I then helped with the housework such as washing and cleaning the children's playroom. I then picked the children up from school, helped them to complete their homework and cooked them a healthy meal before giving them a bath. I left this job after two years due to university commitments.

During the summer of 2010 I looked after children ages 7 and 5 for four days a week for two weeks. I also babysit regularly for family members and friends of the family with ages ranging from 6 months to 12 years.

Since becoming a primary school teacher, I have taught in Reception, Year 1 and Year 4 and have undertaken after school clubs for children up to Year 6. I am currently undertaking courses in mindfulness for adults and children.

In 2008 I completed a Diploma in Childcare and Education Level Three which is equivalent to three A Levels. I received BBB and I also gained a level 2 certificate in food technology. This gves me a qualification of a nursery nurse and nanny.

In 2011 I completed the Primary Education degree with 2.1 and have had five years of teaching. I have currently taught three years in Reception, one year in Year 1 and Year 4.

Due to the current pandemic, I am currently unable to work as a supply teacher so am happy to discuss availability further.

• Babysitting from £8.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £25.00 per hour

Tutoring - £25 per hour
Babysitting and nannying £8 + an hr depending on circumstances, travel etc
