I am a passionate, hard working and empathetic child care professional with over 10 years of experience. I’ve been lucky enough that in my previous nannying positions, I have become an integrated member of their family which is what I am looking for in my next role. It’s important to me that I can support the parents in caring for and bringing up their children whilst creating a strong and trusting relationship which I feel comes from compassion and strong communication enabling us to be a team. Previous parent’s that I have worked for have commended me on my easy going and approachable nature who always comes to work with a smile on my face.
Being a sociable person means I spend my spare time with family and friends. I am passionate about my physical and mental wellbeing so I attend the gym regularly and enjoy going for a swim. I love going on holiday, being by the sea and exploring new places. I have a huge love for animals and adore my 2 beloved dogs, Stanley and Arthur!
For me, being a nanny is very rewarding and more than just a job. Being the loving and nurturing person I am, I thrive off watching the children I care for develop in every aspect of life. I enjoy the company of the children and love to nurture my relationships with them to ensure I become an instrumental part of their childhood. I ensure every child feels included whilst supporting them in building a sense of independence. I am looking for a position with younger children for the longevity which allows me to support and aid the physical, social, developmental and emotional needs of the children. I believe spending as much time with the children is important as the continuity enables you to have a comfortable and loving relationship and the importance of a routine to help with discipline and boundaries. My aim at the end of each working day is to leave ensuring I have made a real positive impact in the children’s every day lives.
I am looking for a local position as I have great knowledge of the area around me and all the age appropriate activities, parks, public transport and have an excellent nanny network. I own my own car and have a full, clean license.
My Experience
I have worked as a Nanny since 2014 with children from the ages of 0 - 12 years old including new borns, giving me a vast amount of experience in ages and abilities. This has benefited me as I am able to tailor my care to any individual.
Previous to my nannying career, I worked as a full-time learning support assistant in a local infant school for 4 years. During this period, I had the pleasure of acting as the primary teacher twice a week for the afternoons.
From a young age, I have undertaken babysitting roles which is where my passion for child development began. During my time as Head Girl at secondary school, I supported the SEN children over their lunchtimes. In addition to this, I travelled to Zambia for 10 days on a life changing trip which involved sports coaching, leadership and mentoring schemes in a nursery, primary and secondary school setting.
I look forward to developing new skills and experiences within my new role as continuing to learn and evolve is important to me.
My Qualifications
I gained 11 GCSE's - 6 A's, 4 B's, 1 C
3 A-Levels - 2 C's, 1 D
Junior Sports Leadership Award
I have CACHE LEVEL 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
I am DBS checked, first aid trained, auto-injector trained and child protection trained.
My Availability
My current role sadly comes to an end due to all of the children attending full time school from September. I am therefore available from September 2023 and look forward to my new challenge.
My preferred weekly hours are full time, 4-5 days a week however I am open to 2 complimentary part time positions equaling full time hours.
