About Me
Hello, my name is Hayley. I am currently a social worker with adolescents. I have a 15 month old son and am planning to return to my former career as a Nanny. I feel I need a break from the busy workload and miss enjoying quality time with the children I work with. I have previously been a nanny caring for three year olds twins, and sibling groups (references available). I also worked in a childcare setting caring for 0-11 year olds where I worked for nearly five years. I also spent six months in South Africa in 2014 volunteering in a school.
During my degree I worked in various roles including youth mentor, nanny, fostering agency and with adults with ASD. I found all of these roles enhanced my understanding of children and adults with additional needs, trauma and behaviour management skills. In 2018 I secured a job as a children’s social worker, which I have found very rewarding, working in safeguarding and with children in care. However, now I am a mother this role is becoming difficult to juggle with family life.
I would describe myself as a fun but firm, caring and energetic person who enjoys playing with children on their level and being a part of their individual developmental milestones. I like to be busy and enjoy nature, going on adventures to woodland areas, farms and parks. I enjoy swimming and can be creative at times, I do enjoy messy play (the cleaning up afterwards not so much).
I hold a clean uk driving license which I have held for ten years and a clear DBS check.
Ideally I would like a 3/4 day part time role, hours negotiable. I have childcare for my son, however it would be beneficial if I could bring him along perhaps one or two days a week. (Lockdown baby who unfortunately hasn’t socialised much). If there are any parents in the same boat who need a friend for their little one?

I am currently employed and would be required to work my notice period of two months. I have a month of annual leave to take so could be available within one working month.
