About Me
Nannying:
I am looking for a nanny position and/or tuition/homework help where I can apply my breadth of skills and experience in teaching and caring for young children in a friendly home setting.
Consultancy for parents/practitioners:
I am also in the early stages of setting up my own private early years education consultancy. Part of this service will be to offer parents and families practical help and advice on all things early years (birth to 7 and beyond). This is a bespoke service tailored to your needs, but can include a range of aspects /types of support. E.g. tuition and homework help, support with behaviour and setting routines, food/nutrition advice, playroom/environment organisation, toilet training, sleep advice and general assistance with all things early years. This is not an exhaustive list, as I understand parenting brings up all sorts that we are not prepared for!
I would be more than happy for you to get in touch and for us to have a 10 minute initial consultation where I can listen to your requirements and we can come up with a plan together.
About me/Experience:
I am based in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. I have two children of my own, aged 9 and 11, one at Woodstock Primary and my eldest at Marlborough. I am a primary school teacher, currently working 3.5 days at a primary school in Oxford as an Early Years Teacher in a large nursery unit. I am on the lookout for nannying positions should the right thing come up, as I come to the end of a maternity cover contract in August 2023.
I’m looking for something I can do more locally alongside teaching yoga classes and my own education consultancy. September would be the date I would be officially available from, but I would be happy to meet and talk about any help I could offer during holidays and on the run up to this date.

Personal Attributes:
I am fun, energetic and nurturing and find nothing more rewarding than to help young children/babies learn and grow. I like to encourage children to share enjoyment in simple things like nature and being outdoors, and I love to share stories and songs. I have a love and passion for language and prioritise quality interactions with children in my care. We would have fun, laugh, joke, tell stories and talk about just about everything!
I am keen to be outdoors, I love to cook and involve children preparing and enjoying healthy food. I am active and enjoy a healthy lifestyle and believe that being creative and having fun with children is key to help children develop their confidence and self esteem. I am always keen to help children to become independent and have a firm but fair and positive approach towards handling behaviour and empowering children to make their own choices.
Other info:
I have a full driving licence, and own a car that I would be happy to use. I would need to factor in childcare for my youngest child, and so occasionally I would ask if he could
be around or he’d be in clubs/attend before/after school care.
Having not had a regular nannying position before, I am not currently Ofsted registered. But I am certainly open to getting registered ASAP should this be required.

My Experience
I have a wealth of experience working with/teaching/caring for children (predominantly between 1 and 7), as well as tutoring and some holiday nannying experience. I have had 16 years of primary teaching experience (predominantly in Early Years/KS1 3-7year olds). I have also worked in an advisory capacity for a private nursery chain, where I promoted quality teaching and learning such as helping staff with positive interactions and creating rich learning environments.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £30.00 per hour
Nannying - £20-£25 per hour, depending on age/number of children and your specific requirements
Education/Consultancy/Tuition - £30-45 per hour, again dependant on requirements.
