I am 41 years old and live in West Knighton with my husband. Tom, and 2 children, Ted (7) and Harry (4)
I can offer care Mondays to Fridays 8am until 6pm for 6 prechool children and 6 school age children. I work with an assistant, Leah, who is training for her Level 2 in childcare while working with me and who will carry on to qualify for her Level 3. I currently do school runs to Overdale Infant School and to Willows Pre-school that tie in together with the drop off and pick up. Some of the children arrive at 8am for breakfast and are provided with a range of healthy cereal, toast and yogurts. Snacks are provided mid morning after which we normally do an activity like painting, play dough etc, or take the opportunity to go on outings. I have memberships to the National Trust and Space Centre and we visit the Botanical gardens, New Walk Museum and local farms to name a few. A hot lunch is always freshly prepared after which younger children normally have a sleep. I have 4 bedrooms with a cot in each so the children get an undisturbed sleep. After sleep we often bake which is both fun for the children and a nice treat at tea time. Tea time varies from sandwiches/wraps and fruit, to home cooked pizza or pasta.
I have a large house with sitting room, play room with many toys and books for all ages, dining room and large kitchen/breakfast room. I have an enclosed garden with play equipment.
I love singing, although my boys a quick to stop me. As a family we love the outdoors and regularly go camping.
My setting is home from home where the children can thrive and develop in a stimulating, fun, warm, teaching environment, without even knowing it!
I own a 9 seater minibus and the complete range of car seats to cater for all ages.

I have 4 years experience working as a childminder and I have two young children of my own.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified Childminder (EY478722) with 4 years experience working Early Years Children. I have Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Qualifications and also Food Hygiene Qualification and a gold accreditation in Healthy Eating for Early Years Children. I have also attended a SEND course and have experience with caring for children with special needs. Leah and I are continually furthering our knowledge by attending childminder sessions and appropriate training.
