Hi all!
I am a creative, caring, patient and compassionate professional and I absolutely adore working with children. I am available for last minute and ad-hoc and I am also looking for a one day a week role.
Based in E14 but very happy to travel.
Working with children brings me so much joy and I am very lucky with the area that I live in as we are so well connected with brilliant parks, outdoor spaces, libraries and hubs. Having said that over the past 12 years I have lived all over London and so I am familiar with a lot of the different child friendly adventures that London has to offer.
It is my belief that children should be given the chance to truly be children. And I support the view that nannies such as myself have an obligation to ensure that children feel comfortable and happy to play and explore in a safe environment. I pride myself on making sure that this always happens.
I have consistently made excellent relationships with all the families and children that I've worked with and these have always been rooted in mutual respect for each other.
Added to all this I really love thinking on my feet and adapting activities and adventures so that the children I work with can get the most out of their time with me.
My Experience
I have been working in childcare since I was 14 when I started babysitting for several families in my local area, I did this throughout my education until I left for university aged 18.
During my time at university I worked in several different nurseries over the various holidays and after university I took my first nanny role, looking after twins in a sole charge role. Since then I have worked for 5 different families with children ranging from 4 months to 5 years, every family had a different set up and I loved working for each one. I am still in touch with all the families I worked for and all are able to provide glowing references. Most recently I have spent time as an Early Years practitioner in a pre-school with 3-4 year olds. This gave me really valuable insight into all the different elements of child development. I was key worker for 5 children, responsible for their development and ensuring that they make good progress during their time in nursery.
My Qualifications
I possess 12 GCSEs all at Grade C and Above. 3 Alevels all at Grade C and above and an Upper Second Class in Performing Arts BA(hons). I possess a Post graduate in Acting from Mountview Academy. I have also been working as an Early Years Practitioner for 6 months and have been trained in the EYFS curriculum and develop matters milestones.
I possess an up to date DBS and a Full Paediatric First Aid certificate. However, I have no official childcare qualifications but I strongly believe that I am qualified by experience and am very happy to provide references from all the families I have worked for.
