About Me
?Hello! My name is Laura. I am a hard working, enthusiastic young person with an interest in child care. My interests include working with children, both in the private and voluntary sectors and I am currently working towards my CACHE level 3 teaching assistant.
?My hobbies include such things as baking and decorating cakes, guitar (however I have only just started this so I’m not the good yet) and scouting.
I have two nephews and two nieces between the ages of 10 and 3 years old, so have experience working with younger children. Along with my experience as a scout leader and working in a primary school as part of my teaching assistant qualification.
I am currently only looking for short term jabs as I will be leaving the country in August.
My Experience
Fairfield Primary Academy- September 2013- July 2014(12 month Apprenticeship)
• In this role I am a teaching assistant responsible supporting the class teacher in day to day activates and helping the children get the best out of education.
• As part of my apprenticeship I have had to support a group of 8 in the reception class with their reading and writing from mark making to write their names and simple words such as mum and dad.
• I also worked one to one with two children that needed physiotherapy due to brittle bones disease.
?I also volunteer as a beaver scout leader this working with children from the ages 6-8 years. I have been doing this for the past 5 years.
Through this I teach the children life skills, outdoor skills and about different cultures through fun and enjoyable means we are currently talking to some young scouts in Australia and I have previously taken these youngsters away on camping trips.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Fairfield Primary Academy via Central College Nottingham
I am currently working towards my CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools which I will achieve by the end of this academic year.
