About Me
Hello, my name is Sara, I live in Shepshed with my husband, 2 children (Lucie 12 and Jacob 10), and our cat Jasmine.
I am OFSTED registered and graded good March 2022. I have an up to date safeguarding and first aid certificate.
I am upto date with all aspects of the Eyfs and all children I'm my car will be provided with a learning journey to show progress.
My setting is a home from home environment with fields to the front and a garden to the rear, with sand water and small ride ons.
On a daily basis I follow the children's interests with the activities I plan so some days will be paint, foam or slime and it will be oh so messy and somedays will be colouring, sight seeing, food tasting or baking so no 1 day will be the same.
I go out with the children to all kinds of places, including stay and play groups most weeks, Beacon Hill, Bradgate Park, zoo, Manor farm park and woodlands Ruddington Park, bmx track, and many more.
There is always something fun to do and learn at Rara’s House.
My Experience
I now have 13 years working with children under my belt, including looking after my 2 beautiful kids.
For 9 of those years, i worked in full-time nursery settings as room leader and become senior management before I left to start as a childminder.
I gained a lot of experience and knowledge in these roles and worked with all ages from birth to 5 year olds and being the nursery wellbeing officer and senco.
For the last 3 years, I have been a childminder and have gained more confidence and experience being my own boss, which I love. I have added more qualifications and had the pleasure of working with many different children and families.
