My Summary

My Experience

I have looked after children for many years. I started out when leaving school, studying for a Level three CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education. As soon as I qualified I was offered a job as a deputy in a local out of school club, which was a brilliant start to my career. I also voluntarily ran Brownie and Guide groups with my mum for many years, looking after girls aged 7-14 teaching them new skills and giving them experiences they don't get at school. I decided to leave this when Sean and I got married and decided to start a family, however I know I will return in the future. Most recently I worked in a Local Authority day nursery. I worked there for 12 years and absolutely loved it. We cared for children aged 0-5 and I had experience working in all of the rooms. Unfortunately the Nurseries closed and as I was pregnant with my youngest at the time, I decided this was an opportunity for me to take redundancy and do something a little different. I attended a Childminding course and Leah's Lovelies was born.

I have excellent knowledge of early years and the curriculum. I am confident in observing, monitoring and recording children’s progress. I believe children should be free to learn and explore at their own pace and I will always plan activities that encourage your children’s interests, stretching their imaginations and helping each child to reach their full potential. We are huge fans of messy play here....we are always covered in paint, gloop, jelly and more and this is something your children will have regular opportunity to enjoy too whilst in my care.

School drop offs and pick ups : I currently only drop off and collect at Preston Grange Primary School.

My Qualifications

CACHE diploma level 3 in Childcare and Education
Paediatric First Aid
I have done many training courses over the years all relating to early years and child development and continue to keep up to date with latest training.

My Fees

• Childminding from £4.50 per hour

£4.50 per hour. With a minimum booking of half a day. Food is an additional £2 per day for a full day or £1 for half. Breakfast is included in the fees.
School Goers : £6 for before school care. £11 for after school care. £1 for evening snack.
I also provide care for funded 2,3 and 4 year olds.
I also accept childcare vouchers and government tax free childcare vouchers
