About Me
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder and live in Shefford close to Robert Bloomfield Academy and Shefford Lower School with my husband. We have 2 boys - one (aged 22) who lives away but visits regularly and one (aged 19) who is at University in Manchester but comes home during the holidays. We also have a black Labrador and 2 cats.
I can do school drop off and pick up from Acorn Pre-School and Shefford Lower School and I live so close to Robert Bloomfield that children are able to safely walk to and from school by themselves with no roads to cross and I can watch them walk through the school gates from my house.
My Experience
I have been a childminder since 2005 and have cared for children ranging in age from 5 months to 14 years. I regularly attend local Toddler Groups, visit local parks, get together with other childminders. I provide a safe, happy environment for children to learn and develop. I have a wide range of toys and activities in my home including crafts, baking, role play toys, puzzles, storytime, animals, dinosaurs, building block, a huge range of Happyland people and buildings. I encourage outdoor play and also have a play table under a covered area to provide shelter from the sun and rain. My main lawn is artificial grass which means children can play outside all year round.
My Qualifications
I have completed a Certificate in Childminding Practice and attended a course on the Early Years Foundation Stage. I regularly keep up to date with training by attending First Aid and Safeguarding courses.
I have also been involving in Scouting since 1990 as a Beaver Scout Leader and have run Shefford Beaver Scouts since 1996.
My Availability
I work term time only (including school INSET days) and currently have the following spaces available.
Before and after school spaces for over 8 year olds.

My fees are competitive and vary according to the requirements. All my contracts are tailored to suit the individual needs of the child.
