About Us

The architect-designed building, with its eye-catching curves, provides a modern airy space where the children’s rooms are filled with light all the year round. The purpose-designed baby unit with its own kitchen, nappy change and sleep room, enables the staff to care for and nurture the youngest children in a safe, comfortable and practical environment. The toddlers and pre-schoolers have large bright rooms which look out onto the garden areas, whilst the sensory room and learning and development room provide additional resources.



The learning and development of the children is not just confined to the internal setting of the Nursery but extends to the large and safe outdoor play area. We view the external environment as another classroom. This allows the children to explore their surroundings and exercise their imagination. You may well find the children are riding their trikes in the nursery garden, digging in the earth pit, playing in the sand or running through the tunnel. In the sensory garden they might be planting potatoes, watching and feeding the birds at the bird table or making sounds on the music tree. Sometimes they will be exploring the shamba, our woodland area, making dens, scaling the mound on the climbing rope, or playing in the willow house.
