About Me
To work with children is my main goal in life. I very much enjoy being around children and would love to be able to teach them. I am excited by the thought of teaching children to read and write; skills that they will use for the rest of their lives. Qualified teacher status, PGCE Early Years, recent experience of teaching Literacy & Numeracy strategies and SATs.
My Experience
I am an experienced and QTS qualified Early years teacher. I have taught within nursery,reception, KS1 and have SATs experience.This involves developing work schemes and lessons plans to motivate children and imaginatively using resources to help them learn. I'm an enthusiastic teacher and I love my job. I have a good sense of humour, but also expect high standards. I encourage those I teach to take ownership of and have pride in their work. I have been teaching for over 5 years, and I have experience teaching from primary. I work in a local Primary School, which allows me to have current knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence, and local priorities and strategies used in schools. I also have a current CRB.
My Qualifications
Bachelor of Sociology (hons) - June 1997
Post Grad Certificate in Early Years credits in Education - June 2012
PGCE Early Years June 2012.
My Availability
I am available Thursday and Friday evenings, and through the day at weekends.

My Fees
I charge £20 per hour for one to one tuition. If you have additional children who need tuition, I would be willing to be flexible. If there are a group of children at a similar level.
