My Requirements
Calm, Creative & Organised SEN Nanny for 10-Year-Old Girl
Location: Great Dunmow
Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (will consider part time for the right person)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Start Date: September
Role Overview
I am seeking a gentle, patient, and highly organised nanny with 3–5 years’ professional childcare experience to support my 10-year-old daughter at home. This role is centred around creating a structured yet low-demand environment with space for creativity, sensory play, and calm outdoor time.
My daughter is bright, creative, and enjoys exploring her interests at her own pace. An understanding of neurodiversity, particularly demand avoidance (PDA), is essential. The ideal person will bring gentle reassurance, emotional attunement, and help maintain a peaceful home learning environment.
A key part of the role will be to manage and facilitate child-led home learning, adapting activities to her interests, and liaising with me and any professionals involved to ensure a consistent, supportive approach.
Alongside caring for my daughter, I’d value your help with organising appointments and supporting me with any tasks related to her care.

Skilled in managing child-led home learning and adapting activities to suit her pace and interests
Able to liaise confidently and sensitively with parents, therapists, and other professionals
Enjoys creative play, arts and crafts, sensory activities, and gentle outdoor exploration
Emotionally attuned, patient, and skilled at reducing overwhelm
Comfortable with light organisational/admin support related to my daughter’s care

Create a calm, low-demand, and structured daily routine
Manage and facilitate child-led home learning activities

Who This Role Would Suit
This role is ideal for someone with strong childcare experience who is naturally calm, patient, and creative—thriving in a peaceful, well-organised, SEN-aware environment. You will enjoy helping a child learn and grow at her own pace while also being a reliable, supportive presence for the family.
