Denise
Nanny in Reigate And Banstead (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
Experienced Mature Nanny
About Me
My present nanny role is very sadly coming to an end in March 2026 after 9 years of wonderful memories.
I am NNEB qualified nanny and have a DBS and first aid certificate and over 30 years of childcare experience.
I am a mature ( but active) mother of two lovely children who have now finished education and are both in full-time employment.
I have my own car and a clean driving licence.
I have a real passion working with children as I love to watch their growth and enthusiasm for life and every day is always different!
I love being organised, imaginative and caring and enjoy a sense humour. Really into music of many genres and enjoy creating in the kitchen.
My Experience
Have over 30 years of childcare experience in various settings.
I have been very lucky to have worked as a nanny for 6 amazing families over the years. I am still in contact with all of them and was a guest at one of my charges wedding last year which really made me feel old!
I have experience with newborns, twins, school aged children, teenagers an understanding of special needs and different medical conditions and am very happy with pets.
I have also worked in a primary school supporting a child with Autism and then held a position in a local nursery school as a team leader and Senco.
I spent 3 years being an "occasional inflight auntie" for Virgin Atlantic, transporting children to Hong Kong, which was a great experience.
Have worked on a kibbutz looking after children in Israel for 6 months, many moons ago.
And finally the best experience of all I feel, I'm a mother of two.

Denise has been with our family since my girls were 2.5 years & 5 months old. They are now 11.5 & 9.5 years old. Never in a million years could we have imagined at the beginning that this would have lasted for so long but as needs changed over-time, there was always a way to adapt and keep Denise with us and her willingness to be flexible and make it work has been appreciated enormously. She has an incredibly close bond with the girls and has been a friend and infinite support for me personally throughout. I originally interviewed 24 people for the role and knew instinctively she was "the one" but little did I realise to the extent that she truly has been over the years.
After a busy career based in London with a lot of travel commits, my world has changed considerably and I now WFH. The girls are much older now and unfortunately we just don't have the hours of need/cover that we once did. She remains an indisputable part of our family and someone who will be in our lives forever. The girls wouldn't be who they are today without the care, love, support, guidance and consistency Denise has provided throughout their lives.
I don't have the words to provide a good enough rating or recommendation but would be happy to speak further (if needed) with any family fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with Denise in the future.

Denise has been with us for a year and has become part of our family. Both the girls and I will really miss her!
She is very calm and patient and loves playing with the children. Denise has also been a huge help with making homework fun and overcoming other challenges that come up.
