About Me

Looking for someone to start March 2019, for min 3 days a week.

We've lived in bath for over 10 years and love it. We both work busy jobs, myself as a part time doctor and my husband full time in defence. We would both give up work in a heart beat to be with our kids, but money rules. So, reluctantly, we must look to someone else who can pick them up and give them a hug if they fall.

We're looking for someone 3'days a week, with some flexibility. Our kids are 8, 7 and 4 and a handful! But they have a lot to give. They like routine, and really knowing people and being able to depend upon/ look to that person for support and guidance - the old iron fist in a kid's glove!
We would like to work with someone to achieve the best for all concerned.

Things will generally entail various school pick ups/drop offs. It's going to be chaos. My hours are not fixed so things vary from week to week, but are never under 30 hours a week usually, adn sometimes more.my husband works full time 5 days a week, so we someone before and after school for 3-4 days. I realise this will not be for everyone, but like I have said, if my husband and I could do it between us, we would.

I am wondering whether anyone would consider this position? And, just to reiterate, my kids are a handful! But, they are very, very loving and form deep and long lasting bonds with those that show them affection.

I am just adding this after having read through 'frequent complaints' of nannies:
- we are looking for someone to look after our kids, not our house : Devote all the time and attention that they can muster to them; they are without mum and dad, despite our best efforts. In saying that, I mean no worries regarding the house/household tasks, except feeding the kids. Although, if at any time, they find they have 5 mins, emptying the dishwasher is always appreciated!
- for us, we would rather the kids' had some fun/down time prior to dinner
- BUT - please just tidy any box of toys brought out prior to bringing out the next - sorry, probably a bit sensitive about this one, as it's the only 'rule' i ever had with previous childcare, and it's such a heart-sink moment when you come home to the entire playroom emptied into the front room...Just me, maybe.
- our hours (mine) are not fixed. We appreciate this can make things awkward and will do our best to plan together to give you a fixed income.

This has taken some time to come back to. Sadly, we lost our 4th child and it has sent our entire family into a spin. We are all getting along, but it takes time. However, we are still looking for a nanny who can be flexible and can drive but can also care deeply and manage to muster the patience to answer endless questions..
Someone who could fill this role would be greatly welcome,
And welcomed into our family no qualms

I would like to update - sorry about the long-winded profile... We are looking again for a nanny (our first nanny, as we have managed to muddle through somehow!). 3 -4 days a week, possibly before school on some days. I am returning to work in Bristol and will do long days at times, meaning I am not home until after 10.30. So, our kids will need someone to give them security and routine, continue to answer their endless questions and to give them hugs.
